Abel was speaking to Gassiev in English....does Gassiev speak English or was someone translating for him in the corner?

Is that meant to be a compliment or an insult as I think you've messed that up here if it was supposed to be a jab at me. Let me explain, if wit were **** and I were constipated it would mean that I was full of wit?

Freddie is consistent over decades !

He is an example to everybody that you can overcome adversity to achieve what you want . Im sure this attitude rubs off on his fighters

Gonna have to send you into the corner to sit on the dunce stool for that, Willie...

Have you SEEN early Golovkin? Or early Gassiev?

He took good fighters and made them great. No way they get exactly where they are now without him.

Good ,but how does that make him better than Freddie Roach who has a clearly better track record with building and improving fighters than Sanchez does. Maybe Sanchez is good for his guys but better than Freddie no way.
I understand what you mean though, I have not seen the early GGG fights before Abel came through.
I think he trains Sullivan Barrera too and that man has been on a hot streak since losing to Ward.

I saw interviews with him, he is alright, same level as Golovkin, but i think it doesn't really matter because both of them needs the langeuge of boxing. When Abel started to train Golovkin the kazakh didn't speak english at all.

Golovkin was already an amateur star and blue chip prospect but I really think both his in-ring style/performances and certainly his marketable HBO-cash-cow persona wouldn't have become what they were if not for Abel's influence.

Gassiev wasn't the kind of amateur legend GGG was though, he's the real proof. He would still be an obscure KO artist fighting bums in Russia w/o Abel. His style has been tweaked a LOT, he used to be pretty raw.

Easy way to find out fighters built from the ground up by each trainer

Disagree, by that rubric Virgil Hunter would be great but he wasn't responsible for Ward's success IMO.

IMPROVING fighters is the real test.

Building on someone else's foundation or building from the ground up is what I would judge because how much Is the fighter and how much is the trainer would ward do the same better with Freddie/Emanuel

Internationalass is aGGG nutswinger. Clearly FR has more accolades than Sanchez.

If Sanchez was such a great trainer GGG wouldn't have looked so one dimensional against Canelo.

Pacquiao was a lot more rugged when Roach got him than GGG when Sanchez did. The proof is in the pudding.

He had a translator during this fight. I think it was somebody who works with them in the camp.
