I ask this, because I've only seen his against Miranda. Kelly, has a knack for making his opponents faces look unnatural after every fight. Against Lockett, who kept his hands high, had bruising and swelling beginning in the first round. My point is, Kelly was strong enough to punch through his guard to get to him. IMO, Abaraham is a defensive fighter who keeps his hands up, similiar to Lockett's defense. (I said similiar, not the same!) If this is the case, I see a TKO for Kelly in 11.
we'll see ...taylor knocked kelly stupid in round 2 ... what happens if abraham ..dents his ass?? ..A plus B dosn't mean C will happen ... it'll be a fight that must be made to see what will happen
In answer to the question, I would say no, because his face didn't look swelled after the first Miranda fight I don't think and he took an almighty beating in that fight. I understand where your coming from regarding Lockett and Abraham's defensive guards, but it's a bit unwise to compare those two fighters.
In 6 fights of his I've watched, I've never seen Abraham's face swollen, including the first Miranda fight with a broken jaw (although the jaw underneath was certainly swollen). Not to make generalizations, but ethnically Armenian fighters usually don't have problems with cuts and swelling. See Abraham, Vic D, Matirosyan, Archak, Gevor, etc.
No he isn't. Also Lockett is no where near the fighter that Abraham is. It is true that Lockett does employ a high guard defense, but it isn't the shell D that Abraham employs, and is no where near as tight. People must also remember that Lockett landed 32% of his punches vs Kelly, so it isn't as if Abraham cannot land on Kelly too.
I don't think he is prone to swelling nor cutting, but I have noticed he does bruise quick making him more prone to getting cut.
