Is Adamek a national hero in Poland?

Nobody at all in America besides hardcore boxing fans know who either guy is, but I've seen more Adamek fights for sure on air, Haye couldn't sell anything here, if he or Wlad could HBO would have their fight on PPV, not regular HBO. Wow this thread got ruined in a hurry, too bad, it was a legit question I thought.

His relatives probably came from one of those countries where people still live in mud-huts and he adopted England as his own nation and constantly parades it around. If there were 310 mln of Poles, he would have sold 20 mln freely. Deal with it. But if we've got it for free what's the point of paying for it ? TV station buys the all rights to broadcast Adamek, we don't need PPV at now. Well, because of that it makes Adamek kind of national hero, he's in every single home in Poland. Impressive.

As for the thread topic. Adamek is pretty well known in Poland. He is seen in commercials, and written about in the papers.

He has nowhere near the popularity that Golota enjoyed, but Golota was a different monster, and he attracted viewers from all over the world. Adamek isn't nearly as imposing as Golota... he is quiet, and humble, doesn't say much.

I wouldn't say he is a national hero.. but definently well known and is getting more popular with each bigger fight he has. His popularity could explode after the Klitschko fight.... even if he loses.. just depends in what style.
