i dont think anybody is over rating him

he is very good and worthy of a title fight but he is no super man invincible challenger

he has shown great speed of foot and hand and throws tremendous combos

he has a lot of heart

he has been hurt, the end of grant and middle of areolla and had a poor finish vs estrada

the guy has his weaknesses but he is fun to watch and will not roll over for anybody or lay down in the big fight

alot of klits challengers have never been in a big fight and seem to freeze brock chambers thompson austin all had never been in a title fight and it showed they melted

adamek has been there many times this alone gives him an advantage

this also gives haye and advantage

thats why id be curious to see how a big guy like thompson does in a rematch he fought a decent fight landed plenty of soft shots but did land

out of all the guys wlad beat he is the one guy id want to see him fight again

Tough one, because I've been a bit of a critic of Thomson in the past ( I think he's plodding to be honest).

However, you know what you're going to get with Thomson, his level of performance is very consistent, whereas Arreola is all over the place. When he loses, it's hard to say if it's because the other guy was good, or Arreola was too fat, out of shape etc.

I think Thomson has had the better HW performances, and its easier to judge how good his opponents are by his fights against them, as Thomson is generally performing at the same level in each fight, lets put it that way.

hmm, is there anybody claiming Adamek is a huge puncher or a favorite against K2? Is it overrating saying Adamek can give a good fight with K2?

Vitali or Vlad will knock Adamek out, but Adamek would knock Haye out for sure.

Adamek is very good. but to be honest we all know , his physical conditions are poor. That make the difference when you are part of HW scene.I think that, due to those height, reach and power lacks , he may have problem to go over some level that would be posssible for his talent, his skill but more power and inches.

I am big Adamek fan, but i couldnt imagine him to win with Wlad, who is absolutely bad style match up for Tomasz.Wlad lost with really average fighters considering skill base but very big punchers.Wlad is beatable he's got his weaknesses but I doubt Adamek could expose them.Comparing both fighters TA just didnt got advantages in areas where Wlad got his flaws.Guys like Sanders or Brewster got the power, even with poor technique etc.But there were strong and capable to expose Wlad's glass jaw:)

This is the key to victory over Wlad.Adamek must try to find another one.But I need to make a big effort to imagine TA winning on points with Wlad

    Whatever, WAR ADAMEK!!!!!!

After Haye he is the only other person in this division that could put Wlad on his arse!

But his power for me is in question?!?! not in Hayes league but he does carry the speed and is not scared to get in close which against Wlad if he can get round the jab will work in his favour!

I don't think hes hugely overrated by anyone other than his die hard fans, apart from them i don't think too many people think he could beat the klits or Haye.
Bsically he might be the best of the rest but lets be honest thats hardly anything impressive.

Overrated? No, I don't think so.

The majority believe he has a slim chance of upsetting either Klitschko...and that's about right.

I do not think he is really overrated. No one gives him much chance against either Klitschko, and most favour Haye over him. Solis recent performance was bad/horrible, Povetkin showed he really regressed under Atlas, and Chagaev last fight was also far from impressing. You can go through top15 this way, and although you may argue some fighters could be difficult for him (IMO Chambers for example), it is difficult to rate him below top5.

    No.

Everyone, myself included, has him #4 behind both Klitschkos and Haye.

    His resume relative to Haye's:
Golata = comparable to but a lot less impressive Ruiz
Arreola = MD, like Haye's Valuev, except Adamek vs. Arreola was exciting and slightly more impressive
Maddalone = on the same-ish level as Audley?
Grant = much more of a threat than Barrett in my opinion
Estrada = Adamek 5 fights at heavy to Haye's 4

No. He's right where he should be - a 'respected contender' level.

    Not really.

He's the no 3 hvyweight behind the Klitchko brothers.
