Adamek is a deserving contender, he isn't the guy to beat the Klitschko's. But he has the right mindset, despite his physical limitations, and potential as a dominant force in the heavyweights....

    100% agree
I'm also a big fan of Adamek. I wish him all the best in Sept fight. But realistically Adamek&Roger have to prepare realy good plan for Wladimir, otherwise he has slim chances to win.

such comments can't make him overrated.

He's not overrated for sure. Fans appreciate his skills, dedication, willingness - heart and cheen :D. These features are considered as his best, also have already been confirmed and tested in many fights therefore cannot be denied nor overrated. I'd say he's better in HW than in CW, but HW is a better division, so he's not as dominant as previously.

Beating Arreola, who was ranked in top 5 HW before their fight, makes him a worthy contender who will give a competitive and interesting fight against Wlad unlike Haye who doesn't throw punches (Fraudley, Valuev fights :hi:).

Everything is ok here - I agree, but you forgot to mention he ain't got a glass jaw:yep

I dont think he is overrated, people know he is a good fighter who could beat any heavyweight at the moment outside of the Klitschkos.

hes a decent heavy but dude had some serious trouble with a shot michael grant..thats not the best sign of somebody trying to be heavyweight champ and beat wlad or vitali

    I think he is.

Against the top HW's (Ring ratings), I see it like this:

CHAMPION: Wladimir Klitschko - Wlad by UD (maybe late TKO).

    1. Vitali Klitschko - Vitali by TKO in late rounds.

    2. David Haye - Two smaller, quick guys. Adamek has better technique, Haye has more power. Would like to see this one as well.

    3. Alexander Povetkin - Would like to see this one. 50/50.

    4. Tomasz Adamek

    5. Ruslan Chagaev - Adamek out works him and wins by UD.

    6. Eddie Chambers - Adamek busier, may get a SD. Would like to see this one.

    7. Denis Boytsov - Never seen Boystov fight, so can't say.

    8. Nikolai Valuev - Adamek too quick and mobile. Duplicate of the Arreola fight.

    9. Alexander Dimitrenko - Never seen Dimi fight, so can't say.

    10. Chris Arreola = Adamek MD 12

he is viewed as a top 5 fighter yes. well apart from haye, wlad and vitali not much is happening at the heavies. chambers has a good resume but has just been knocked out, chag and pov have looked **** lately.

his win over arreola currently puts him above most heavies. it's just a shame he hasn't built on it.

I don't think Adamek is overated, most people see him as a good contender but know he won't beat either Klitschko. As a heavyweight he has a good skillset and nice speed/movement. He lacks power and size and I'm not sure about his chin as a heavyweight. I don't think he beats either Klitschko or Haye but I would put him in with the next group of heavyweights- Povetkin, Chambers, and Adamek. His willingness to fight good fighters and fight often is something I wish more of the heavies would do.

couldn't agree more, he's definetly proven more at heavy than Haye has but on this forum he's terribly overated. he'll get destroyed by either klit, probably ko'd by haye and I wouldn't be quick to pick him over Solis or Povetkin. We're talking about a guy that went life and death with a shot Michael Grant and couldn't crack the most notorious glass chin of the 2000's in heavyweight

Sure, except Adamek did this in 18 months while Haye needed over 30 (actually, over 40 months if you count the Bonin fight). Activity level should count when determining the quality of someone's resume.

Listen, I am telling everyone as one of those die hard Adamek fans, that not even we over hype him that much. We know his limitations in the HW division more than anyone. You may notice hyperbole from Adamek fans once in a while, but that's usually a reaction to polarizing and blindly assuring comments usally from Haye and Klit fans about how Adamek will be smashed or murdered in the ring. Like it has been mentioned before, Adamek rolls over for no one and he's got those intangibles that usually keep fighters fighting till the bitter end.

I hate stupid threads like this. How the **** can someone be overrated when they are not very highly rated to begin with?
