Is Adamek the greatest heavyweight we've seen since Ali?

    I am and always have been a fan of Adamek since I saw his first fight with Briggs (in a true passing of the torch evening the night Golota got levled by Brewster--even if I saw the Adamek fight a few days later).

    Did I think it was a good move for Adamek to go to heavyweight? **** NO!

    Did I think he would beat Golota? No! (But that was the only time in my life I was thrilled to see Golota lose).

    Did I think he would beat Estrada? Yes, in a difficult fight much like it transpired.

    Did I think he would beat Arreola? NO, but I thought he COULD, and if you listened to last week's edition of "On the Ropes Boxing Radio" I did pick Adamek by UD.

    I am a huge fan of Adamek.

    Despite his success, HE IS NOT A HEAVYWEIGHT!

    He's just that good that he bested a former long-time contender, a slick and somehwhat underrated fighter, and a legit top five guy.

    Adamek IS THAT GOOD!

    But he really isn't suited for heavyweight. That don't mean I won't continue rooting for him for as long as he fights.

    I've been afforded the opportunity to meet Adamek on several instances, and I've been to two of his workouts. He is one of my favorite fighters ever.

    And yes--he is the greatest since Ali.

    Are you mad? Even Tommy's aids would have been conquered by Adamek!!! Adamek spars with 8 foot bears!!!

    not even close, he defeated a boxer who was out of shape and doesn't have world class skills.
