Aside from what fans, journalists and commentators alike have SEEN...Their shorter height neccesitates hands up bobbing and weaving their way in to land a punch or punches...they both also transfer every last ounce of body weight into a punch...sure Tyson was much more effecient and a bit more vicious as well but were not comparing fighters were comparing styles as have the above mentioned members of the boxing community for glaringly obvious reasons
The handspeed footwork and upperbody movement isnt there. BTW loved the Adamek and Hoye are basically the same level of fighters comment. Another one of your gems:rofl
Of course, and since my memory is not good enough to debate in details without saying things i could regret.. But to make thing more complicated i think is chin is underated.
The only mental weakness I've noticed is that if he doesn't get the knock out early in the fight, he goes into a rhythm where he is content to just work the jab and throw a couple hooks or straights occasionally. Other then that he seems like he's confident in his skills and he knows what he has to do to win.
I'm baffeled by their baffeling:-( Believe it or not I'm a Tyson fan as well...it's as if nobody can have a similar style to somebody else...sort of surprised by the hatred inspired by some respected posters on here.....I guess Chagaev is their "White Tyson"
That was not mental weakness as it was coachs orders. Earlier in is career he would just go wild if a guy did not go down. His getting to a good middle ground, Hoye stand up style made him look very good.
Fun Fact! Aside from 1 fighter every fighter Diaconu KO'd has been KO'd multiple times. Just something we should all take into consideration.
Even then I thought he could have finished both Thysse and Rivera but he didn't. Considering the level of opposition in those fights he didn't have a reason not to go for the knockout in the last 2 rounds. While it wasn't that big of a deal in those fights, if he at any point chooses to get into a rhythm and becomes over defensive and cautious against Dawson he could get into trouble.
I know, but i dont think he would have done that if those guys where punching or trying anything else then to survive. Especially Thyse, that guy is a top notch sparring partner. Everytime i see a fighter signing a fight against him i crap on the carpet.
Since you were obviously directing your comment towards me and i have ZERO ties to Chagaev you make no sense.
