I could see him winning on points if he fights the whole fight the way he fought the Hoye fight. Land nice combinations maybe get a knock down or two, then maybe he can win a close decision. But I agree, a big punch knockout is his best possiblity to win, early too. :good
does he do any roadwork or do any cardio? because he isnt very busy considering the style he employs, and well againts Dawson a few punches a round looking for the KO = Dawson by Decision.
I don't know if Diaconu is mentally weak, he hasn't showed any mental weakness yet, very poised and patient. Diaconu had a very good amatuer career and it shows. But I'm not sold on this guy, I was at first when I heard about him, people were talking about him being the next Mike Tyson. Then I realized he was just a hype job and his name didn't surface for a while, and then I saw Chad Dawson fight. Now Diaconu's name pops up again, I think Dawson is the real deal he is a complete fighter in every way with his only weakness being his chin, which is probably not even a liability since he has never been tested yet. I don't know if Diaconu is not suppose to be flashy or whatever, but he hasn't shown then or shown now that he's the future of this division.
:nono The commentator during the Hoye fights said: "Diaconu says his inspiration style-wise is a young Mike Tyson!"...or something like that; he didn't say Diaconu thought he was a Mike Tyson like fighter...big difference!:deal
So just listen and ignore the fight taking place....do you think it would've been said if their were no resemblances?? C'mon now mate if Diaconu fought like Cory Spinks the name Mike Tyson would've never came up at all:good
Well...the guy wants to fight like Tyson...he is aggressive and doesn't take prisoners to the best of his ability...yeah, there's a resemblance, to that extent.
I'll sort it out for you mate....Diaconu is more patient and composed....Tyson ruled by fear, did'nt box much as he did'nt have to but when he did he lost(Holyfield, Lewis, Douglas) Again as I've mentioned before their height disadvantage necessitates their plan of attack which is similar...It's a little tough establishing a jab when your opponent towers over you by almost a foot
Thanks...we'll talk more after you rest. You've done well defending Diaconu! This content is protected
