Is Adrien Broner the Jeff Lacy v2.0?

Even if he was he was never as skillful as Broner. I seen a few of Lacy fights, and all I seen was a puncher who threw a lot of wide shots. He intimidated a lot with his physique, but all he had was power and nothing more from what I observed.

 

In terms of fighting styles, not alike at all.

In terms of getting undeserved hype, the comparison is valid. But even then, Broner is more proven in that regard s he's actually beaten an incumbent titlist, something Lacy never did.

We'll see how real he is in the coming years, however I'd be surprised by a Lacy-like fall from grace as he has more in his favor than Lacy does (in the ring he's more skilled, outside of the ring he has a more powerful promoter).

 

Broner is obviously much better than Lacy ever was!

 

I want to see Broners chin properly tested then we can see, it's all well and good looking like another mayweather but mayweather has a proven decent chin.

 

PDL fought him from the outside using movement. Which is why I would say Vasquez troubles him most.

 

I was on the Lacy hypetrain hardcore but even after a few defenses he was never as highly ranked and as hyped as Broner was even before fighting DeMarco.

Anybody who has been watching boxing more than a week knows that Broner and pre-Calzaghe Lacy are two different levels of fighter, not to mention their styles are completely different. Lacy was never that great athletically and he never had great boxing skills, his physique fooled a lot of stupid fans who think you can tell something about a fighter by looking at them. Because he was built like Tyson people thought he could punch and fight like Tyson.

 

The hype for this Broner *** is pathetic. Already got beaten by Ponce DeLeon...Guy just has a big mouth and a gimmick so of course the whole "Hip Hop/swag" community has to attach themselves to his dick. Guy is a total ****** and a wannabe Floyd and will get his ass kicked pretty soon.

 

It's pretty much a prerequisite that every young Black fighter that receives any sort of hype be compared to Jeff Lacey at some point.

 

Dream on it's not happening for awhile especially if he stays at 135 because he's a stylistic nightmare for everyone there. Broner a G deal with it hater.:hi:
