Is AJ about to price himself out of a fight vs the Wilder/Fury winner?

Myself I don't care who makes more money but like many we need to see them fight that's the bottom line.

    No
    Not in the slightest
It obviously helps their case but AJ has drawn big money consistently
    The others havent

Its irrelevant anyway as it has to be 50 50 for it to get made
One cant progress without the other
So they will get it if they want it

Of course AJ has a better resume, beaten 5 better opponents (Wlad, Whyte,Parker, Ruiz and Povetkin) than Wilder's best career win.

Let’s see how much wilder fury makes in comparison to joshua Ruiz. You can easily work out what the split should be from that. If it makes the same amount then it’s 50/50.

Yeah and if he loses im sure he wont have a problem taking 30% in a rematch right? You know dam well he would then come up with a bunch reasons he should get at least 50/50 in a rematch if he loses. Hes full of crap. The guy he fights willl be an undefeated world champion and also be recognized as the lineal champion. Itt should be 50/50 and if its not then the other side should just walk away.

It has to be 50/50 if AJ refuses its a clear duck.

He'd have to be made an actual offer to refuse anything! But as the A side he'll be making the offers. That's how it works!

Definitely greedy. At least his management team is.

I dont know if Ruiz beats him but you never know. Ruiz was too heavy to close the distance or even throw combos with any speed.

I dont know who wins but a dedicated Ruiz coming in at 235 or so would definitely be quicker and have more in the tank the second half of the fight.

One disturbing thing is Ruiz did not really attempt to cut off the ring. I dont know if he knows how?He just sort of waddled around torward AJ making AJ's job easier.

A good trainer can teach him to cut off the ring. It's a learnable skill. He needs to learn that.

Anyway. An opportunity lost. I've never seen a HW champ come into a championship fight less prepared.

Splits have nothing directly to do with belts etc. There’s boxing and then there’s business. It’s all about what one fighter is worth compared to another.

Take Pulev as an example. He wants the fight in Turkey, as that’s worth more money. Joshua looks like he may refuse, and lose the belt. However, suddenly Pulev fights for a vacant belt, and it doesn’t matter where that fight is, because without Joshua it isn’t worth anything.

Joshua appears to be flexing his financial muscle here, and with the Wilder/Fury winner as well.

Ask yourself, would you rather get the smaller slice of a gigantic pie, or the bigger slice of a tiny pie.

Not a question of greed, both fighters respective management teams have a duty to maximize the earnings of their clients and will negotiate as such.

Same as any other negotiation. Outcome depends on what each brings to the table and, crucially, what their alternative options are worth if they don't come to an agreement.

Fair enough point. While I agree with you, I'd hate to see aggressive negotiating get in the way of probably the biggest HW fight in a long time.

especially when the other 2 haven’t faced Ruiz themselves.

On your last point, which I do agree with.

it Largley depends on the the outcome of Wilder vs Fury 2
& AJ vs Pulev in their next fight. & by that I don’t mean to say who wins but I mean to say How they win?

If Deontay detonates Fury’s chin or vice versa they will be getting half regardless of what AJ wants to say or actually does in his fight.

If fury vs Deontay 2 ends up being a yawner & AJ destroys Pulev I can see him demanding the lions share. & probably justifiably so.

How do? Floyd demanded 70/30 initially on the basis that he was the bigger draw, which wasn’t obvious at the time as they were head to head on recent ppvs at the time.

If AJ did $52mil in his last ppv and wilder does $26 then how is it 50/50? Ah is literally generating double the money wilder is and assumed that’s how much they’re bringing to the party.

It’s like asking $52 mil investment from one guy, $26mil investment from another, at the same round, and they both get equal 50% shares?

    Doesn’t add up to me.

Wilder should get bigger share, if he proves the bigger draw.
