Lets be honest, AJ is going to destroy Parker. Won't last long, maximum 5-6 rounds. Parker is just being overhyped as is usually what happens when a fight on PPV happens. 'Oh look at this guy he's so great he's brilliant one of the best so please buy our ppv pretty please'.

So that being said. What would be the better win to have on your record, the overhyped not beaten anyone of note Parker or the dangerous skilful everybody avoiding him Luis Ortiz??

Ortiz is a slightly better, more dnagerous fighter, and has a slightly better resume than Parker. Parker has a belt though, which in a void would equal it out.

However, AJ already established himself as the best in the division by beating Wlad. Until Wilder beat Ortiz it was very debatable about who was #2. The Ortiz win therefore meant alot more to Wilder, as it clearly established Wilder as a dangerous #2, while a win over Parker is just expected for AJ.

About on par IMO. Ortiz is the better technician and the harder puncher, but Parker is waaaay faster, a little fitter and was actually born in the 20th century.

Parker won't be the pushover you think he will be though.

equal. Ortiz is the better fighter overall, harder puncher, more dangerous with his southpaw style and of course experienced as ****. Parker is faster, younger, fresher and has the title.
I think Ortiz still has a great chance to beat Parker in a direct encounter. I can not see any HW out there beating Ortiz if we excluding AJ and Wilder.

Whos ortiz best win? Bryant Jennings?

Parker is in his prime, a world champ and has the better resume.

Takam, Dimitrinko, Ruiz jr and Hughie Fury is a good top 4 wins

By contrast Ortiz has Jennings, Scott, and who else?

No, Parker is suppose to lose by large margin.

Wilder and Ortiz is close to even as the fight proved.

Of course Joshua hasn't won YET but I really can't see Joshua in any trouble in this fight even if he puts it on cruise control.

Some chunky plodder who's about 89 years old and on heavy medication or the fast, young, hungry and unbeaten fighter?

    Hmmm it's a tricky one.

Parker would be the better win. I,ve got Ortiz down as the most skilled man in the division but he,s older now. Plus wilder is the worst possible style match up for him. He struggles with the longer reach and movement. He excels on the inside. Either let's you get inside on him. Or works his way in on the opponent. But the long reach and movement was always gonna negate his skill due to his slow footspeed. It was a great win for wilder....but they did pick a good man but one that was always gonna struggle with wilders attributes.

I don't think the same could be said about parker. The reach is obviously a problem but parker closes the gap pretty well anyway. Its not a particularly great match up for Joshua. Its not a terrible style for him but its not one that's been handpicked like Ortiz was for wilder. Obviously Ortiz is a good fighter and a good win. But they kind of had to pick one of the decent fighters by that point they went with the one that struggled with his style.

As soon as wilder comes up against a capable guy with a good reach. Either similar or better than his he,ll get found wanting.

In all fairness it all depends who you ask. Wilder has his fans. AJ has he fans. So it’s horses for courses in that regard.

But as a AJ fan I would say Ortiz was better “ on paper” as a win. Whilst Parker has a belt, there are so many belts, holding a belt becomes less significant.

Jennings is the best win either Ortiz or Parker have. Scott and Thompson are probably better than anyone other than Takam on Parker's resume. Fury and Ruiz may be better, but they've got vastly inferior resumes at this point, so youvey got to have the default position that they are lesser fighters.

Ortiz has the better resume, though that could change if Fury and Ruiz ever actually establish themselves as top tenish hws.

At the end of the day joshua could have a win over an unbeaten world champion on his resume in 24 hours

Wilder got a win over some old cuban guy

    Thats what history will remember

This. Ortiz is the better win, since he's very experienced and a fully developed fighter while Parker has youth and speed on his side, but is lacking in the in the skills department, since he's still a developing fighter.
However, Ortiz would've been a better win if Wilder beat him 2-3 years ago, since Ortiz at 38 is clearly not as sharp as he was at 35-36.

    This

Parker has youth, a title to defend and overall has a greater resume.
I think Parker is a harder hitter also
