Bruno was the people's champ and always will be.

Unlike Tony Doshua, the Matchroom Media Trained 'Humble One', Bruno is genuine and people warm to his personality even though he went off the ropes.

The problem with Tony Doshua is that his mask is gradually coming off and people see through the acting.

Drug dealers whether reformed or not are parasites of society and throw in the racism scandal which was swept right under the Sky carpet, people eventually get the picture.

He is very popular now but that can quickly change. Bruno will always be popular.

Bruno seemed a lot more famously well known back then than AJ is now, a lot of older people don't even know who AJ is, that wasn't the case with Bruno, from young to old everyone knew Bruno.

People who aren't at least in the their late 30's should stay out of this thread cause you wouldn't remember how popular and well known Bruno was to compare.

Bruno was a bit more popular but who cares, he was 10x more popular than Lewis too, did that make him better?

Popularity is for casuals and we all know how bad it is to be considered a casual so why we even having this discussion.

    What ya talking about?
Bruno was better known, that's a fact it's not hating on Joshua.
Joshua may end up more famous but he isn't at the moment.
    Everyone old,young alike knew Bruno.

Yeah and i can say the same damn thing about Joshua.

Everyone knows him, young and old alike.

My poor old grandad has dementia and he still knows big AJ.

I love Bruno, but AJ is more popular. Take it how you want!

Oh and you said it was a fact Bruno was better known..where are these facts?

Roland Rat, Steve Davies, Timmy Mallet, Mr Motivator etc were all more famous than AJ, it was the 80’s, we only had 4 channels. I appreciate they weren’t boxers but i’m in a silly mood.

It's hard to gauge without putting the issue to scale.

Bruno was more popular in the UK but globally I would say Joshua is better known.

In the states, Bruno was just another KO on Tyson's record whereas Joshua is a unified champion. I'd say with advertising and the internet Joshua would have a much wider global reach.

Two decades have passed since Bruno retired yet everywhere Bruno goes, people are delighted to see him.

Very difficult to top that popularity.

Bruno was far more popular and well liked through the general population than AJ is now.

AJ has time to become bigger than he is, but Bruno was more famous and well liked.

All of this black power stuff from AJ is not going to help him appeal to the majority either.

I’m not saying Bruno was better, it’s just that he became this national treasure I think mainly because he was a gallant loser.
Joshua is obviously very famous and well on his way to probably surpassing Bruno’s fame especially if he keeps winning, and good luck to the lad.

Frank just had a better and funnier personality than AJ does.. Everyone and their dog loved frank and wanted him to do well...

He was just more easily likeable than AJ is I think... AJ has no personality in front of a camera whatsoever in comparison..

Franks giggle, his mannerisms etc etc made him easier to like for many..
