Is AJ scared of Wilder's right hand?

Probably he's afraid of the randomness of this fight.

They both have such amount of power, and they both make so many mistakes, that the fight is a coin flip.

Nobody wants to bet his career in a coin flip.

 

He very well might, but he's at least trying to get wilder in the ring

 

He's probably wary of it. Why shouldn't he be?

Scared of it though? Nah, I don't see that.

 

Scared of it ? Kind of a loaded question there , AJ certainly knows to be careful of it , let's be fair every boxer and boxing fan knows to take Wilder's right into account it's dangerous and a definitive threat .

Let me reply with this , is Wilder scared of AJ's punch output frequency , AJ's hand speed , AJ's ability to project devastating multi-combos to head and body and is Wilder scared of AJ's RIGHT and LEFT ?

 

There is such a thing as healthy fear, and I hope AJ has enough of it. But is he so scared that he won't fight Wilder? Nah. AJ is confident he can beat anyone, I believe. I am guessing he would fear Fury more, with his troublesome style.

 

I don't think AJ is scared of Wilder, or vice versa.

I do think the handlers of both are wary of the other though. Matchroom know the money he generates will diminish if Wilder sparks him. Wilders team know fundamentally they are chalk and cheese + AJ has the power to KO him so want a big big payday for the risk

Wilder = terrified of AJs existence

 

Joshua is definitely more cautious after the Klitschko knockdown, you’re right there I think.

Although, I doubt he’s scared of Wilder’s right hand, he’d have to be an absolute fool not to be wary of it, as it is by far his biggest shot.

At the same time, I’d imagine Joshua would fancy his chances of getting Wilder out of there before he lands it too. Which is obviously what makes the fight so interesting I guess.

 

I think that’s the one and only thing all heavyweights are scared of about wilder. If not they should be. But also really that’s all he’s got as we’ve seen he can easily be outboxed. Joshua isn’t near as slick as fury though

 

Your right AJ is a better boxer , AJ takes the initiative more , AJ can string mulitple combos and fight and dig deeper than Fury can . Fury's slickness is all he truly has , AJ can cut someone off far better than what people know . This is why Fury will not last long against AJ . Honestly I think people are really underestimating how strong a boxer AJ . 4 years ago Fury and AJ along with Lewis and Bruno were sat at the Gloves are off heavyweight table and Fury said to AJ just keep doing what your doing . AJ has taken a more conservative approach to his game, So has Wilder, Wilder refuses to sign to fight him. Hes fought 2 top names now and needed the officials to bail him out of defeats he isnt going to be taking any more big risks. There is only 1 side making and sending offers here and there is only 1 side turning them down.

 

The most important thing in what Tyson Fury said is “Sparring is not fighting”. Losing a sparring session does not mean the person will lose a proper boxing match under the bright lights when it’s for real. Ask Chris Eubank Jr against George Groves. I personally think AJ will defeat Tyson Fury when they fight but also believe Fury will cause him some real problems in the contest.

 

Your correct and I agree but take in too account of what Fury said , AJ had around only 20 amateur fights at this time this was when Fury was facing Chisora . Fury was a top 10 HW professional boxer and here he is saying that AJ was smashed him in a 3 round sparring , this is when AJ had not even won the gold medal , this was 2 whole years before the Olympics .

 

He's in general become more cautious over time. He was more reckless and defensively open when he fought Whyte but then after Whyte started using a more methodical approach and started tightening his guard. Then again after being so close to defeat vs Wlad he again made changes and become more conservative and selective with his aggression.

Joshua is aware of the threat Wilder's right hand poses but he's far from scared of it, he wouldn't be so overly pushing for the fight if he was scared.

I don't think Wilder is scared of Joshua either but his handlers are, hence why they've done everything to protect him. They've been doing it since he turned pro so no shock they've continued with a cautious approach to match making

Personally I don't know if Wilder's right hand is any harder than Wlad's. Even if it is, Wlad's right hand was delivered better, Wilder loads up on it, which is why it takes him so long to connect with it. Usually it's only when his opponent has tired and fatigue leads to a mistake does he eventually land it cleanly.
