look at what he is doing for broner..why in the hell should he be fighting gary sykes. He need to prove him self and if he wants to call him self an elite fighter.
eloy perez was just as shitty as his next fight..atleast mayweather fought the best when he was coming up in weight..

I would expect in a couple more fights for him to have fought some better opposition

If you look at some of his contemporaries they weren't fighting much better around their 23rd fight

Want to see him in some better matchups soon though

broner is fighting sykes because he isn't ready for the elite level yet. maybe 12-18 months down the line he will be and the fact that he has a world title should mean he fight the best but his match makers know his flaws and are giving him time to eraducate them. broner is a talented fighter, for me he beat ponce de leon 97-93 and he wasn't exposed as fans try to make out. but if he goes into fights with the like of salido he goes in as an underdog, salido is a huge step up for him, his level of opposition will increase over the next 12 months and by then he should be ready for the elite level. if he isn't ready then he probably will never be as his style is dependent on his reflexes which are at their best when your young.

the thing is fighters such as broner and canelo should not have world titles as you should only hold a world title if your willing to fight the best which they clearly aint. now its even more of a joke that bad fighters such as sykes in this case get to fight for world titles when they have done nothing to deserve it.

Haymon can do what he wants. If he wants to only make matches that are favorable to his fighters, who cares? If you don't like it, don't watch or pay for them.

    I'm good wit Haymon

Haymon is great for boxing and has a great stable. really puts American fighters on the map. the only thing i dont like is that he doesnt like to put his fighters against eachother

Broner fighting sykes is bad for boxing as a whole. Now other promoters can argue if haymon can do it with broner, why can't their uprising stars fight bums on big cards too?
    Bad move by HBO.

Broner Vs. Sykes is simply just a showcase for Broner to earn him more fans and get him on the map. think about it, ALOT of people will be watching Khan Vs. Peterson II, If Broner really shines against Sykes and shows his outgoing personality, people are gonna be wondering who he is and want to see more of him.

al haymon is great for boxing and really the fighters he works so hard for. broner there are trying build up like every other young champ.they did with canelo it happend to berto etc etc. broner will be pushed later rather then sooner. let his body atleast out grow the division and make that move to 135 were he will have tougher fights. he just one weight class so let perfect his craft because he gone need it 135 fisszle.

its funny people are mad at this fight but cant come up with a name of a fighter from the UK in Broners weight class that they think would be a better option for under card money
