Is al haymon the guy to revive interest in boxing in america? All I know is, when Don King was actively promoting, he gave us some of the most heady, memorable and IMPORTANT fights ever. Over the past 15 years boxing has basically wilted away into pathetic sideshow...These days we routinely get stuck with garbage undercards to medium level ppv events like pac-algieri and bhop-kovalev. It's promoters like arum and gbp killing interest in the sport. mainstream fans don't care about the sport of boxing. I'm a lifetime boxing fan and even I don't think boxing will survive the retirement of fmj...all of boxing these days boils down to who will fight floyd next. who else is gonna keep this sport afloat?

But now, haymon has amassed a stable of quality fighters who can really get boxing back on the american front pages...he's matching them up against quality fighters on network tv and recruiting more american fans. he has a vision for the sport of boxing. the last 10 years horrible mess in the hw div is finally coming to an end with some bright, exciting talent.

Don't think he's that much of an *sshole. He looks like one, but at least give the man a chance.

he don't have enough. floyd is his only fighter on p4p top ten.

if haymon match his fighters against their mandatories from other stables...they'll lose.

    quillin ducking ggg
garcia is ducking postol and herrera
santa cruz and mares are ducking rigo
    stevenson is ducking kovalev
floyd is getting dragged kicking and screaming into a fight against pacquiao.
bey would lose to crawford or beltran and even gesta

Al Haymon is one of the best advisers the sport has ever seen, he always brings us great fights.

He's had his share of bad ones but he's brought us lots of excitement in the last few years.

lol@ floyd being "dragged kicking and screaming"....it's pac who finally has to agree to the PED test and the split and every other condition he used to duck out of the fight for the past 5 years...AND he'll get *****slapped around the ring after all this.

thurman-guerrero is a good stepping stone fight for thurman....molina-broner is a good way for broner to stay on the right track and get some more experience under his belt against quality opposition. this is a great card that will catapult both broner and thurman into supers****om ...and set up a possible return to the golden age of boxing with exciting matchups on free tv.

Haymon is part of the reason that boxing hasn't been doing so well in recent years. He's not going to be the one to fix it. Also, if you think that boxing is just Mayweather you are a ****ty fan. Boxing will survive Mayweather's retirement and be better when he is gone and not sucking all the air out of the room.

He's useless, don't know what he's doing. He's just old and looks like he might have a clue, but trust me. Haymon should go to wwe with his cousin paul.

From solely a financial stand point (not legacy standpoint), Haymon is doing exactly what he is supposed to for his clients; most money and shortest road travelled. I refuse to get into he makes lopsided matchups this or that. All "Promoters" attempt to stack the deck in the favor of their own fighters. Haymon seems to be focused point blank on the bottom line of his fighters pockets.

you people are sorry. Instead of hating on al haymon why don't you take a step back and realize what a historic deal he just made and how good it is for boxing.

NBC is in 96,242,000 Homes in the united states
HBO is in 32,445,000 Homes in the united states and COSTS to subscribe
SHO is in 28,094,000 Homes in the united states and COSTS to subscribe

what haymon has just done for the sport of boxing is amazing. We get PPV quality fighters and ppv quality fights for FREE?!?!?!! and on FREE TELEVISION!?!?!?! The ratings for these fights are going to be out of this world. If broner & danny garcia can draw 1 million to showtime, i expect the ratings to be in the 2-3 millions for NBC free.

Haymon has done something tremendous for the sport. Shut the **** up stop hating and be happy with what's going on in the sport.
