1. He has a stable of over 100 fighters, by far the most of any promoter or adviser. 2. He has brought boxing back on network television 3. He brings very good fighters, although he has brought us some duds. Aka Garcia vs Salka etc etc. Still, he's brought us great fights.
call me a broken record, but without ONE GOVERNING FEDERATION, boxing will continue to frustrate fans and fart around with matchups nothing changes until that does
He's not the savior but he is an active participant is the restructuring of the boxing business. What he's doing will have a ripple effect throughout the whole boxing system. Most of it positive but some of it will be negative, especially for these dictatorial heads of the large promotional companies. I just hope that he doesn't corrupt himself and keep it on the up and up.
you must be an idiot if you think this guy is the saviour of boxing , if you want to watch C list fights for the next god knows how many years as he keeps all the top names away from one another as he milks as much easy money out the game without losing an asset by one fighter losing to another . lets see the thread titles in 1 or 2 years , it certainly wont be saying "saviour of boxing" i can guarantee you !!
Network television doesn't mean what it used to mean to people, in fact I suspect fewer people will watch it, and the prestige of boxing will go down to be honest. Al's main goal is to set up a league, similar to UFC, except Al Haymon's league is called PBC. I think it will hurt the sport, and fighters will end up getting paid just as UFC fighters are getting paid, ****. These fighters are signing 5 year agreements with Al Haymon and once he is the one who has to pay fighters versus Showtime/HBO paying them...... he ain't going to be paying them what they are making now.
If I'm being honest it's gonna be hard to get all them fighters dates but I guess will have to wait and see how good Alan really is
Don't know but so far this year's he's giving us great match ups Thurman - Guerrero Garcia - Porter Molina - Broner Garcia - Peterson Berto-Lopez
