That's possible, but we will never know. The one thing we can know is how well he would do against his own, future opponents at the highest level if he is able to continue boxing. And if he compiles a better heavyweight record than Wladimir Klitschko, with more wins against top level opposition whilst being able to clean up the division and whilst being able to remain on top for longer, only then he would surpass Wladimir Klitschko. Until then, Wladimir Klitschko still remains the superior heavyweight.
Definitely one of, if not the most overrated fighter on this board. Some joker on here tried to tell me he would KO Holyfield He'd be cannon fodder for guys like Joshua and Wilder, just like he was for Wladimir.
C Can you imagine Joshua against guys like Rudenko , Charr , Hammer and another bums? People here would trash him for that.. But mr resume superstar gets praise for fighting bums for no reason. Charr Wach Hammer Rudenko Price HaHA
I'd like to say I'm some sort of soothsayer or super genius, but even the guy that scrubs out the toilets around here could see that coming. Boyjajing obviously not though Never fear, he'll be back soon enough with another super-crafty disguise, like a big paper nose, or a clown suit!
At least Wilder goes to a proper barber, PEDcan has his eight year old daughter chop his wig. Sometimes the state of PEDcan's hair looks like a pork chop on his head just saying lol
We've established that Povetkin has a family bowl handed down through the generations that is used to style their hair.
Let's see! Evander Holyfield has lost to the following boxers: - Michael Moorer: No better than Alexander Povetkin at heavyweight. - James Toney: No better than Alexander Povetkin at heavyweight. - Larry Donald: No better than Alexander Povetkin at heavyweight. - James Toney: No better than Alexander Povetkin at heavyweight. - Chris Byrd: No better than Alexander Povetkin at heavyweight So why couldn't Alexander Povetkin defeat Evander Holyfield when Holyfield has already lost to far inferior boxers with much inferior punching power than Alexander Povetkin? You could use the same old 'old age' excuse to justify Holyfield losing but Holyfield lost, even at a young age to some of these boxers. On the other hand, Alexander Povetkin is 38 years old and has only ever lost once to arguably the greatest heavyweight of all time with one of the greatest heavyweight records of all time. And he never lost to anybody else. Certainly not to the caliber of opposition that Holyfield has lost to multiple times. Otherwise, Povetkin would've lost to the likes of Christian Hammer and Andriy Rudenko like how Holyfield lost to the likes of James Toney and John Ruiz. And how exactly would Povetkin be a cannon fodder to Wilder when Johan Duhapas wasn't a cannon fodder to Wilder? Since he took Wilder's best punches for 11 rounds without even dropping and managed to badly damage Wilder's face. Yet, Povetkin is CLEARLY far superior to Johan Duhapas proven by when he knocked Duhapas out unconscious when they faced each other. So how exactly would Povetkin be a cannon fodder to Wilder when Duhapas wasn't and when Povetkin is far superior to Duhapas? Likewise, how would Povetkin be a cannon fodder to Joshua when Carlos Takam, who is clearly inferior to Alexander Povetkin wasn't when he faced Joshua? Carlos Takam goes 10 rounds in a competitive bout against Anthony Joshua without getting knocked out but Povetkin is going to be a 'cannon fodder'? The same Carlos Takam who has more losses than Povetkin and was knocked out unconscious at a younger age by Povetkin? I think Anthony Joshua would beat Povetkin now. But to say Povetkin is a cannon fodder is totally nonsensical. Povetkin would be Joshua's second best and toughest opponent till date.
It was probably me that said he could beat Holyfield. And frankly I think that at his best, he could. In fact, I think a putative Holyfield / Povetkin fight, regardless of who won (and it could be Holyfield, I'm not saying that it couldn't) would be an authentic boxing purist's wet dream.
