Is Algieri's win over Provodnikov better than any single win Maidana has had?

I don't even get how this is a serious question, I don't even like Broner but he is a legit 3-weight champ and beat top 5 guys for thoses belts, Provo's claim to fame is being competitive in a fight he loss and winning a vacant title vs a guy coming off a loss.
Maidana over Ortiz is a better win than Algeri over Provodnikov.

Here a serious question though why does Ruslan get prasied as this elite fighter for having a close fight with Bradley but Marcos is still bashed after having a close fight with Mayweather. You would think beating Mayweather> beating Bradley.

I had Maidana beating Kotelnik 115-113, i can see a draw but i can't score it for Kotelnik, close fight but Maidana edged it. And to be honest winning 5 or 6 rounds vs Floyd is a pretty good achievement i think.

    Read these words:

Even if the 'vast majority' as you say scored it for Broner (many of those that get brainwashed by Showtime and thought because Broner looks like he throws harder punches but not many of them) , a lot scored it for Paulie. You scored it a draw. Now take into account the massive bias the ref and one of the judges gave Broner. That's controversial.

I'll tell you this right now: if it was Mayweather fighting Algieri and Maidana fighting Pacquiao your answer to this question would be- Algieri's win over Provodnikov and it's not even close. Just like you claiming Maidana is top 5 Welterweight and is a consensus opinion. That is bias, Smoak.

So Vincete Martin Rodriguez is a legit top 5 fighter now is he? He had no business being anywhere near a title fight.

DeMarco was top 5 but overrated (his 2 best wins at 130 was over 2 fighters who made mistakes and would probably beat him in rematches)

Malignaggi was barely in the top 10 at 147, he won a title of a guy that bought it, got a robbery over Cano, then lost it by robbery himself to Broner.

I'm not going to pretend to be a Broner fan but the guy jumped 3/4 division's in 2 yrs you can argue he picked the weekest titlist but what does that say about Ruslan who won his belt vs a fighter coming off a loss and for a vacant belt. Broner is overrated in the sense that he's not the next PBF but he's shown more heart than a lot of fighters who do get praise Provodnikov is overrated in that he's not that good.

Maidana's clear destruction of undefeated (if somewhat over-hyped) Broner is better than the very controversial decision Chis received over Provodnikov.

Provodnikov is overrated but came up the hard way, Broner was coddled by Golden Boy promotions, always given the benefit of every down of the judges and ref, handed titles on a silver platter, carefully matched and still fails.

I would say right now, as confident as any fight I've ever been, as long as Provo isn't DQ'd for hitting Broner with a gloved fist, he would batter Broner in one of the most one sided fights you'd ever witness.

(oh and by the way, Mike Alvardo was coming off a career best win when Provo dethroned him- not exactly winning a title off someone not ranked in the top 50 of a division like Broner did for his first)

Every fighter in the history of the sport has had controversial decisions doesn't matter who you name. As far as being coddled moving through 3 division's in 2 yrs isn't exacty being protected I mean its guys who's fan fear for them to move up one division.

Head to head Broner is what a little over a year removed from fighting at SFW/LW Ruslan could possibly be to strong but then again if Maidana couldn't get him out of there its doubtful Ruslan would.

I have to correct myself because Alvarado was coming off the win in Rios rematch which isn't really a big win Rios/Alvarado is like the d team at JWW, Demarco/Pulie better wins than Alvarado.

I don't care really the one thing I don't understand that maybe you can help me with is how is a close fight vs Bradley worth more than a close fight vs Mayweather
