I think Lewis is the second most challenging for the other guys.

Ali is overrated, by watching his great fights it always seemed that he was the one who took the most damage and knowing how shady the boxing game is and certainly was back then I can't stop thinking that he might be one of the biggest fraud in the history of sports. Ali had charisma and heart, but his boxing skill didn't impress me the slightest.

Only Louis and Holmes could have beat him in the 60s imo. And Holmes would have had the toughest fight of his life.

A Shavers II Holmes might have outpointed Ali...imo that would have been one of the most interesting heavyweight fights ever because of their overall not entirely dissimilar styles. Holmes had the heavier jab and uppercut, while Ali had the better left hook and probably overall faster hands and feet.

Ali would have taken some ugly right hands, but I think he would have vanquished both of the other fighters by decision.

I agree but I reckon the other Louis is a threat to every single heavyweight who ever lived. The greatest offensive machine I’ve seen at heavyweight (with apologies to Tyson and Foreman who are also both h2h nightmares).

I'd say so . Even in two separate era s he beat the best . There s a couple of heavyweight s that I'd say maybe , possibly beat him at his prime Best but even then it's not an easy fight and in a rematch he could possibly win .
    Larry Holmes
    Lennox Lewis
And that s it for me

Absolutely, i could happily out him #3. He's a chance against anyone.

There's such a strong argument for that. But my list is Ali, Louis, Holmes, Foreman, Holyfield, Lewis.

I can't put Lewis above Holyfield, especially considering what a fight Evander gave him well past his prime. I can't imagine Lewis beating the same guy who beat Bowe.

I think Lewis would have been TKO'd by Ali in 14, Holmes in 11, Louis in 2, Foreman in 2, Holyfield in 10 and

.....last but not least (and awaiting the hate) the Holyfield-beating Bowe in six.

Joe Louis at his peak was like a miracle imo...just like Sugar Ray Robinson, Roberto Duran, Salvador Sanchez...Muhammad Ali.

I like Lewis over Holmes by close decision. The Lewis right hand would be a constant threat and his size and reach would have Holmes working hard. If he hurt him the way a handful of others did he'd be a chance of stopping him but the odds is a distance fight. I think Holyfield being younger and going harder would suit Lewis. Foreman and Louis are toss ups, they are all dangerous for each other. Lewis would go straight at Foreman early looking to get his respect. His big reach and straighter right hand would be a big danger and George could be hit with right hands if you had the ability and mettle.

He was tho i'd certainly not have Sanchez in that lot as good as he was. Guys like Ali, Pep and Armstrong are much more fitting.

I favor Lewis over Bowe for sure, particularly with Steward. Steward said in an interview that Futch told him after he was finished with Bowe that he wouldn't let Bowe fight him as he knew Lewis would win.

    Manny Steward -

If a Professional Fight between Lewis and Riddick Bowe had Materialized:

I was with Eddie Futch one day and he, and his wife, and I were together in Las Vegas just sitting at a little coffee shop. I asked him about the Riddick Bowe fight when he threw away the belt rather than fight Lennox. He said, “Emanuel that was my doing. It was my decision because what happened in the ’88 Olympics, I always felt if they fought professionally it would have been the same thing. Even though Bowe was good, Lennox was always such a physically strong and mentally strong big kid, that eventually he would have still overpowered Bowe again because he was just that type of a rough guy”.

If he had ever fought Riddick Bowe as a professional, even before Bowe had liked slipped and lost his talent and his skills, Lennox would have hurt Riddick Bowe I think very seriously, because he a real hatred for Riddick Bowe. So I’m glad that’s a fight that I never saw.
