But that's Futch, who didn't look back on his association with Bowe in a very good way. When I watch the Lewis in the early to mid 90s all I see is a guy looking to land the right. Really one dimensional. Bowe had a killer jab, ridiculously powerful uppercut, excellent hook, and he was the right size to handle Lewis.

Now if you're talking, say, a Holyfield-era Bowe against Steward Lewis, I have one heck of a harder time arguing that...but I would guess it would go to a close decision. That would have been a great fight imo.

Ams only but we know that early Lewis certainly had the power to cause Bowe probs as he stopped him in the Olympics. Bowe probably has more chance with pre Steward Lewis but tbh i like Lewis at both points. Bowe was talented but on paper he's pretty thin excepting Holyfield and i don't believe Holyfield was healthy in one of those fights.

Certainly potentially a top match. Lewis would overpower him for mine.

Wow, that's really interesting! And Bowe was such a good fighter in the day...and Futch was a veritable super-trainer.

God no. Tyson Lewis, Holyfield and Holmes are all better H2H imo
