At least I actually watch and score the fights, that I criticize a fighter's performance in. You stated Mildenberger outboxed Ali and was ahead on the cards, despite you by your own admission, not even scoring the bout which CLEARLY shows Ali was ahead by scores of 7-2-2, 7-3-1, and 9-1-1. I don't care that you hate Ali, but at least put up an objective argument. Stevie Wonder can see through your agenda. You couldn't refute my argument because you had no argument yourself so you resorted to bumping a thread that hadn't seen any action in two weeks just to compile some remarks I made about my job, not even remotely related to boxing. Truly pathetic.
I didn't lie about anything. I missed your posts on this thread until now, as I was taking a vacation from this place and only had a cursory look. As for you being half-facetious, I don't buy it. Their was absolutely NOTHING indicating you were anything but serious in your initial posts. You made an outlandish statement, got called out on it, and attempted to backtrack.
This is not true. Troy Roberts knocked Vitali down. This content is protected Sanders knocked him down too but Vitali wasn't given a count. It's not much of a feat to rarely lose a round and have a high workrate and high KO% when your best wins are an obese flat footed Nigerian caveman, a wheezing 38 year old shopworn asthmatic, a fat 38 year old part time golfer, a 34 year old glass jawed former light heavyweight, an unathletic mediocre punching power journeyman, and a zero defense, zero head movement Mexican slugger. ^I would bet my entire savings account and my left testicle that SEVERAL boxers (not even just all time greats) would brutally massacre those opponents h2h without hardly losing a round. He lost to the 2 best fighters he faced. Ali beat the best fighters he faced multiple times. Ali was a 3x lineal champ. Vitali was a paper champ who never proved to be the best in his era. This is a silly comparison.
Vitali quit because byrd, a feather fisted former light heavyweight on a 2 week notice, was making adjustments and making him miss. Funnily enough, Vitali never went for a rematch against Byrd. Byrd fought both Klitschkos and said Wladmir was better by far and hit 3x harder. He was awfully confident that he could beat Vitali in a rematch. He quit, end of discussion. People are obsessed with the idea and mystique of Vitali, not necessarily his actual accomplishments. Big scary looking Eastern European guy with shredded abs and stopped most opponents--as if he were an actual Ivan Drago. The reality is he didn't quite live up to the hype if you look at his record and in the ring performances. He stopped most guys on their feet from an accumulation of punches. He was by no means an aggressive brawler or a great finisher, he often fought on the back foot and used his reach to keep guys away from him. Good boxer, arguably even great. But #1 h2h? That's comedy.
1. As I've stated numerous times Mildenberger won a mere three rounds on two scorecards and one on the third. It wasn't "super compettive by any stretch of the imagination 2. "Wladimir Klitschko and Lennox Lewis wouldn't get in a 12 round super competitive fight with Karl Mildenberger." Putting aside the fact it wasn't super competitive despite your blatant lies, Ali wouldn't get KTFO by McCall and Rahman, nor would he be knocked out by a 37 year old, past it Sanders, who'd fought twice in 3 years. 3. You must think the world of Leotis Martin for brutally koing Mildenberger and beating him more empathetically than Ali did. "American Leotis Martin knocked out European champion Karl Mildenberger in the 7th round of a scheduled 10 rounder before 7,000 fans here Friday night. Mildenberger was down twice in the 7th round from a series of strong hooks before Dutch referee Ben Bril signaled the end (after the 3rd knockdown). The bell sounded when Bril reached 'two' on his count but according to the rules the count continued and Mildenberger was unable to move. He was carried to his corner by handlers, bleeding from the mouth. Martin quickly familiarized himself with Mildenberger's southpaw style and consistently landed long rights on his opponent's chin. Martin clearly won the first three rounds before Mildenberger appeared to rally as the lighter American seemed to tire from the fast pace. However, Martin closed the 6th round with a stinging left hook that signaled the beginning of the end." Now by your own logic, doesn't that make Martin a much better H2H fighter than Ali based off a much better performance against Mildenberger? Please answer honestly (if even possible of course). 4. "Now if you take another long vacation I won't mind." Believe me, after dealing with the likes of you, I'm inclined to agree
Vitali blew out his shoulder and had so much pain with it, it had become useless. If Byrd had any success it was after Vitali became a one armed boxer. Before that happened he was soundly defeating Byrd. The rest of your post is just as far off the mark as the beginning of it. I should add , Vitali was also one of the only fighters to defend a title age 40 and older. ( Foreman the other) He already had a wildly successful kick boxing career before he became a pro Boxer. Can you imagine the record he would have had, and the amount of title defenses had he not put those years into that sport? Byrd even said Vitali was the better fighter overall, depsite the your misleading claim. Vitali is underated by many, but not by anyone that knows the actual stats and his prior history before he even became a Champion. He just had no weaknesses that could be exploited well, because of that , he matches up against every prior champion in history very favorably. H2H #1
You're quite simply a COWARD. Start spouting non-sense, then when called on your bull-****, you revert to adolescent behavior such as this, instead of growing a pair and admitting you're wrong. If not for the fact, that I like humiliating you, I'd put you on ignore. You're a disgrace.
