I see better things out of the ring. I was not so impressed from watching his last few fights. He has great skills but I just don't believe he is guaranteed victory over Maidana. I am not rooting for or against him but the hype is almost absurd. What do u guys think about his skills and only his boxing skills ? worth the hype or not ?

Yes they (his skills) are worth the hype, so is his chin mind you.

I think he definitely deserves the hype he gets. How were you not impressed by the Malinaggi fight. Malinaggi is a guy that nobody has ever looked good against. Khan destroyed him and looked practically invincible doing it. Nobody has ever done that to Paulie. What I find so impressive about Khan is his combination of speed and reach at 140 is pretty unreal.

Maidana ends the Hype this Saturday, if the guy had good punch resistance he would be great but he can't take a punch.

Khan has been considerably better since moving to the Wild Card Gym.

Why is it a good point? Hatton had him all over the place

I used to think he was slightly overrated but that was mainly because he wasn't fighting anyone of note so it was difficult to judge how he was progressing because he was just ending fights in a round or two.

The Kotelnik fight is when he matured for me and the Malignaggi fight he showed his class again. I think Saturday will be a very tough test for him but if he pulls off a wide UD he could throw himself into my p4p rankings.

no, all the hype is true

its not like they calling him a small young roberto duran

for his age and overcoming the knockout from prescott he has done incredibly well
but he could still get ko'd come saturday

hype is for real, but so is his suspect chin

I believe so, i'm confident he will destroy Maidana (with the possibility of being caught too always there) and show why he is hyped.

Have you seen the Prescott fight and the fights before that where he couldn't even take the punches of opponents that had 15% KO rates? And his handpicked opposition after the Prescott fight? That should answer any questions.

most of all the british fighters are overrated.khan a good fighter but ill judge him after ive seen him fight world class fighters.the english media are good at hyping there fighters to make them look better than what they are.not talking about guys like lewis & calzaghe who are legends.

No. But then again, I'm from an era when guys first went out and won fights then the hype followed. If he beats Maidana, then takes on the Alexander/Bradley winner and holds his own, I will give him respect.

As far as ever rooting for him, I don't see it. But watching a guy to root against him still brings viewers so financially I think he'll do just fine.

well the Britts love their fighters and talk alot of smack but Khan looks to have alot of things going his way.
I think he is rated pretty good.
