I personally believe he's been exposed many of times. He can't fight inside and struggles with pressure fighters. I would also take a fit Victor Ortiz (one who faced Berto) to drop this guy.

I'm British myself, but I can't stand the guy.

Rated just fine, he has been exposed to having a glassy chin and his in ring iq has been shown to be quite low. Before the Peterson fight he was overrated though imo

    Khan still beats Orteez

Look at post Peterson interview. That is a prime example of why he gets given so much ****.

Depends who's doing the rating.Amir's abrasive personality leads people to judge his boxing by his lack of PR skills.
Truth is,he's a flawed boxer who can also be very exciting to watch. His frailties can also be what make him good TV.He's no ATG,but he's a fighter who brings something to the table and whilst I dislike his persona, his fights are almost always worth tuning into.

Gets more attention than his talents/skills warrant. So, 'overhyped' would be the correct word, I think.

Everyone, even his fans, acknowledge his flaws. Well, anyone that follows the sport properly, anyway.

Not sure how an Ortiz fight would go both have a Glass Jaw and Ortiz is a Serial Quitter.

Khan has no power and only throws punches at his opponents gloves with scurrying around the ring trying to protect his Glass Jaw. Khan fights like a mini robot and does the same thing over and over

    unfiar to classify him yet.

if you classified Bernard Hopkins at 25, or Calzaghe at 25 he wouldnt be a HOFer. Joe'd barely have even a mini world title. But he went on to become a HOFer, albeit not a strong one, and Hopkins became an ATG.

Depends what you rate him as?

The guys a world class fighter. Been beatebn twice once, when he was 21 fighting at a weight he should be at, in a freak result. The other time against a top ranked fighter is a controversial decision against someone who was roided up.

Dont think anyone is calling him an ATG.

has the potential to become a HOFer. potential is a good word to use for a 26 year old, rather than making an absolute classification.

he is of course overrated in the media. but thats how the media works, blame it not the man. Hes certainlyfun to watch, and we'd be lying if we said we dont watch for the fun of it.

He had a competitive fight with a guy who was on steroids. . . The only reason he has the stamina to last all 12 rounds, and keep bringing it to Khan was cause of the roids. . .

Yeah, he got iced by Prescott like 4-5 years ago, but since that time hasn't lost a fight (don't count the Peterson fight since he won anyway, and Peterson, by his own admission was roided up for the fight). . .

So he's not strong on the inside? He's not overrated, because everybody admits he needs work on the inside. . . A lot of world class pugs aren't capable in an area of boxing. . . In fact, only a handful of boxers can be dominate on the inside, from mid-range, and outside.

If anything, he's underrated. . I see mostly hate, and criticism of Khan on here. . I've never seen anybody overrate him. . .
