Are you really going to waste all the asskissing that you have been giving the "chincheckers" on this thread?
Khan is proving to be a quality fighter-but not a great fighter as he self acknowledges. And one thing is certain-he can't sell tickets. His upcoming fight in Vegas hasn't even sold 3,000 tickets and the hotel is onow offering free tickets if they buy a room for that weekend. So much for his "fan appeal" in America.
Can still be a chin checker, and not agree with everything they say. . . Some the chin checkers are fans of boxers with glass jaws. . . I just disagree with them about Khan. . .
He is the biggest seller @ 140.. (destroys Peterson & Bradley) edged by Marquez possibly Khan is the one giving paydays... Khan is doing well/ how he supposed to for where he's at now...
I'm glad you said that, because Sky have tried to convince us (in the UK) since re-signing Khan, that he's real hot property over there, but I've always been sceptical. To be honest though, for a fairly hot division,so many of the top names would struggle to fill an outside toilet at the end of their street. Amir is an annoying little poof when it comes to media relations, and I'm under no illusions as to how flawed he is as a boxer.. But I do find him entertaining,in a Kerry Katona-stylee. As long as he's on the go,I'll watch his fights.
Khan is too inconsistent, because he beats judah and maidana and then loses to peterson, when he first came on the scene he was the hottest thing in boxing, until prescott ko'ed him, same with ortiz.
That "almost died from his injuries" is bull**** damage control from his team. I want to see an official medical report and the suspension handed down from the CSAC before I buy these garbage excuses because, as it stands now, the guy has been involved in three disgraceful Quit Jobs. He is a Glass Jawed Joke with no Heart. None.
:good he,s also still got time on his side to work on the flaws. he's got amazing potental in front of him.
Prescott was always beating Khan that night, you dont go from getting put down constantly by blown up superfeathers with no punch to fighting a big light welter with a big punch without expecting a disaster. khan was a massive lightweight fighting small superfeatherweights up to that point and hed still been on the canvas about 10 times
hes not that bad, garcia is ****ing **** I was one of Khans biggest (in fact I think I was THE biggest) critics in the early years, but once i started giving him respect(around the kotelnik, malignaggi wins), other people seemed to take the bar and run with it Amir Khan is excellent entertainment value and always has been, I've seen every one of his fights. Oh and Khan/Ortiz would be a repeat result, Ortiz did not just lose to Khan in the amateurs, HE QUIT!
When people talk about him being a glass-chinned joke, then no, he's not being overrated. In general though, he is overrated. His skill level is terribly overrated.
