In other words, is he excessively draining himself to make weight? I think a Khan - Ortiz card should be organised. Both losers in their most recent bouts but they are still fairly big draws nonetheless. Furthermore they are still young and immature, so I believe they both have great futures if they're hungry enough! Heres hoping

The last thing Khan wants to be doing is moving up another weight class to fight bigger stronger and ultimately heavier handed guys.

Recipe for disaster, unless this guy is hell bent on becoming highlight reel KO fodder.

But wasn't Coralles too big at 130 against Mayweather? Thus he was drained and got stopped as a result.

In Khan's case it's not an issue of being weight drained it's the fact he has no chin.

And the last thing you wanna do with no chin is keep moving up in weight to fight bigger stronger guys

He could rematch Garcia. Beat him by UD or KO. Then move up and fight the feather fisted dustmen Timid Timmy and Lil' Paulie. Beats them and he's back!

Or take a veterans route. Earns a shot legitimately.

Kell Brook maybe has a chance of knocking him out.

    Android Berto would ko him.

Randall Bailey has a chance to ko him, and he's limited.

Josesito Lopez would ko him at 147, and probably at 140.

Devon Alexander has a chance to ko him.

Victor Ortiz in the right frame of mind would ko him.

So where does he go from here. Dancing on Ice?

And who would you blame for Khans defeat? Keeping his china chin on display is a recipe for disaster in any given division. I understand the point you're making, but surely he'd have his opponent cherry picked on his 147 debut?I feel really bad for the guy

Didn't he come in at 139?

Looked in fine condition to me.

No. He needs to box more and fight less. It dose not matter what weight he's at. The result is going to be the same.

Lol, 140 at the moment is much better suited to Khan than 147. In fact, at his age he is just about fully matured, I don't ever see him being better off at 147 - especially with his chin.

With his height he is well suited to staying at 140 and boxing his opponents. He can stay outside, he will invariably have the reach advantage, and out-box them.

He just needs to ditch Roach and work on his defense.

Khan's problem is simply that he has a bad chin, and the only defense he has for it is his speed. He uses his fast hands to overwhelm opponents with his combinations and his quick feet to get out of range. However, when facing an opponent who can handle that speed, he gets tagged because his base defensive ability is poor, and he gets hurt because his chin is weak. And once he starts getting tagged, he loses his legs and gets tagged more.

And I don't think a move up to 147 would be beneficial for him unless he just massively struggles to make 140. He might have more of a speed advantage at 147, but the length advantage he enjoys over most 140 lb opponents wouldn't be there as much, his power wouldn't be as good, and he'd be facing heavier hitters. He should stay at 140 lbs as long as he's not killing himself to make the weight.

There's only one problem with that............ Khan can't box.

He's not hurting people the way he did at LW.
I used to think he'd end up at 154 but if he goes up at all,you can bet he won't be getting people out of there early, and he can be sparkled horribly now,so it'll be worse at 147.
This is one of those cases where being sparkled has zero to do with making weight. You can't hydrate a chin.

Amir was too big for lightweight,
Now he's too big for light welter :patsch
How many weights will he have to go up before his chin gets better?
