Is Amir Khan truly arrogant - or just a bit thick?

Many have accused Khan of arrogance in the past and some say his comments in the interviews since his devastating loss to Prescott suggest he hasn't had this arrogance knocked out of him just yet.

Khan seems to suffer from foot in mouth disease, "I'll beat Floyd Mayweather over 4 rounds", "I'm untouchable" etc. But having just watched one of the videos of him talking about the Prescott fight I don't see someone with the kind of arrogance of a Naz or a David Haye, the boy just seems a bit dull.

So in your opinion is Khan an arrogant ****er with a massive ego, or does he come out with some bull**** comments because he is not the sharpest tool in the box?

He actually seems to be fairly well spoken. I would categorize him more arrogant than thick (although I think he'll be a little less arrogant in the future.)

Nothing brings you back to earth like getting your ass handed to you.

To be honest I don't see much difference in his attitude to most other fighters.
But then when judging boxers I don't put as much on what they say in interviews as most posters here seem to.

In his post Prescott interviews I have to say he does not come across as particularly arrogant any more. He does seem deluded though, in a way that reminds me of big Audley. They both live in the same dream world.

The difference with Audley is that he intelligent and educated enough to plan his own demise, whereas Amir isn't. He's young and naive, so the people around him should be the ones we point the finger at.

Id say arrogant, had too many voices in his ears .... your goin to be a champ, and people love you.... bull**** like that.

I hope he comes back and fights again, but as soon as he meets a decent puncher, its all over like the Prescott fight.

Also, he needs to protect his chin, forget charging in, he should try to pot shot and move, then open up when the time is right.

I was listening to his "I'll be back" speech yesteday and I don't think he's arrogant or that thick, he's just one of those people who talks before engaging his brain and fails to filter out the all nonsense before it gets out of his mouth.

I don't think he's he sharpest knife in the drawer.

I also don't think he's arrogant at all. You need confidence to fight in front of crowds. He's a pretty normal, naive, young lad who happens to be a famous boxer.

I think we should judge these guys on their boxing a bit more than their words.

He's egotistical like a typical boxer but ultimately he's good where it matters. He fights like a warrior and he gives his opponent his due when he lost. Khan isn't God but people are way too critical of him. He is a British Olympian, you should all start supporting him. He isn't the enemy. We can criticise but let's not get carried away.

He comes across as thick. He uses words and language that he does not understand and combined with arrogance is not a good idea.

He does come over pretty thick but he is never asking hard questions.
