It is what it is. He will be given credit for fighting a faded (not shot) and potentially injured Pacquiao.

Shot fighters are not regarded as current P4P material.

Just another past prime fighter on the resume.

His own fault, but I doubt he cares except when people tell him to his face or on social media, he's all about the money.

Floyd will be remembered as a great fighter who had the ability to win a fight by winning 4-5 rounds over and over again. Its supernatural.

I'm not hating on Mayweather, he did well on Saturday.
But yes, an injured + past prime Pacquiao.
Pacquiao looked worse in all facets, and the injury wasn't helping.
Anyway, I believe a rematch will happen and by that time Pacquiao would look shockingly bad athletically, but still Mayweather will retire 50-0.

Floyd and his fans think they've proven some sort of point by him taking the fight years down the line getting the nod against a past prime pac by running and holding.

    They miss the point completely.

Fighting him now was never going to be good enough, and running away from him around the ring just made it worse.

Athletically, I don't think Pac looked all that bad. If you try to blank out Mayweather, Pac was as quick of hand and foot and he looked as sharp as he has done recently. It was Mayweather's own athleticism and skills that made Pac look like he had diminished since the Algeri/Rios fights.

Obviously Pac isn't the fighter he was 5 years ago, but he still looked on par with the Pac of his previous two fights.

IF he was injured, how do you know he's "shot"?

I don't think Pac is show coming off an excellent 2014. Shame about the injury. He might never fully recover. We can hope.

Both guys legacies were set, in my mind this was sort of a "well alright this has to happen so we can all move on" type...

Floyd has proven to be the better fighter, it is what it is.

He'll be regarded higher than Pac on the ATG standings, by almost everyone.

    It's irrefutable.
