In my opinion this thread is stupid. If they were the same weight and Jones was mandatory challenger for Silvas title then you could say he was a coward if he didn't accept the fight for his belt. What in fact you are saying is that Silva is a coward for not pushing the UFC to ask him to go up a weight and fight a guy that is a ****ing beast at LHW. It's not that Silva only fights guys that he thinks he can beat, he just doesn't want to go up a weight division to face a guy he knows he probably can't beat. Look at fighters that jump weight divisions, they only really compete against samller guys in the division above or inferior fighters. That's why Roy Jones beat John Ruiz and Randy beat Tim Sylvia. Jones appears to be the strongest LHW of all time, seriously ragdolling guys that are elite wrestlers. Not even close and Silva knows it. In fact, he'd be dumb to fight Jones.

 

Y'know, I just don't think Anderson Silva gives a **** about anyone. I think he's king of the trolls, and Rashad's impression of him makes me think "lol, he probably is like that". He's respectful and such but he knows he could **** you up.

Jones won't go for a catchweight, because he can't make the weight and still be 100%.
