He knocked out Tito Ortiz in the first round easily. I think he is among three best MMA boxers ever with Conor and BJ Penn.

Is he the best MMA boxer ever? Thoughts?

Conor is far better, Poirier is better too, Silva looks really bad in the ring.

Max Holloway is the best current boxer in the UFC. And by the way MMA goes alot further than just the UFC.

How Silva looks really bad? He did beat Chavez Jr. clearly and KOed Ortiz in R1. And, he is f*cking 46 year old. He lost most of his reflexes.

    1-Conor
    2-Anderson Silva
    3-BJ Penn

Poirier is one of the best MMA boxers "currently". He is in probably top 5 all time but below these guys.

Where would Chavez Jr and Ortiz rank in boxing world now?

Chavez is still professional boxer. He is not MMA merchant. If a MMA fighter beats a true boxer, that should be great achivement.

Ortiz is MMA guy but his striking was always good.

Israel is already in top 5. But Silva's age makes his achivements more impressive.

Hes up there I guess but I think Andersons striking was always more about him being multifaceted and dynamic than him just using his hands. BJ was more pure boxing, Vitor too, I think Yan has really crisp, quick hands out of the current crop too.

good shout on Yan. Really good puncher, nice and compact. I like gaetjes punching too.. and palamero has transitioned well into bare knuckle from MMA i think too?

If the question is: Is Silva the greatest MMA fighter turned Boxer? Than yes. But i don't think he is the best boxing MMA fighter. The guy had a kickboxing style. When thinking of the best boxer in MMA i think of Max Holloway!
