Now that it has been revealed that he is a steroid cheater, is Anderson's career tarnished?

Yeah... a lot of people from back in the days knew he was on something, but the game is not to get caught and he did get caught.

Same with another high profile fighter who has retired yet is talking a lot about PEDS acting like he wasn't ever on them when he was, except that fighter was a lot more smarter and used Lance Armstrong **** and had people on the payroll

Not really...He dominated and outclassed most of his opponents.

No amount of steriod would have given him the skills he had.

It's too bad, I was, and still am, a huge fan of his. Sad way to have to leave.

i think best thing for silva to do would have been to admit was i used because i came back from a devastating injury, i'm sorry etc etc. but the fact he is trying to deny it all and say he is clean will not go well for him. it is a bad thing, disappointed in him really and it does make you wonder.

I don't know much about this sport but a mate of mine who loves it reckons there are positives all the time, if that's the case, wouldn't it be like the majority of cyclist back in the 90's and 00's?

I'd still pick Anderson over GSP. I don't really count any negatives near the end of a fighters career and I think Anderson is a good 5-6 years older than GSP as well. I think GSP quit when he knew he wasn't going to dominate the way he use to.

That said, I am Canadian so I'd sooner agree with you than disagree.

Going by resume both GSP and Jones are far ahead of Anderson who fought in a terrible division while being big enough to fight in a pretty stacked 205 - and good enough to dominate it (IMO)

Jones might have the GOAT UFC fighter already, but if he doesnt then GSP deserves it way more than Silva

Sure Anderson looked Godly, but mostly against far far inferior competition, and now we know possibly by cheating

A fighter is free to fight in any division he chooses, how does that influence his ranking?

And the way he beat Forrest, and James Irvin when he stepped into the higher division was about as dominating as I ever seen, in fact it bordered on artistry, and I've been watching MMA/Boxing for over 40 years and this is about as good as it gets.

As far as cheating goes, I've long ago realized that damn near everyone does it, it's just that some don't get caught. Being Canadian we had a world record run by a guy named Ben Johnson who ran a 9.79 (he started off being a Canadian, when he won and quickly became a Jamaican when he got caught).

Turned out he tested positive for drugs, and we had an enquiry and found out every elite runner in the world was taking drugs, he was just unlikely enough to be caught. The Lance Armstrong enquiry pretty much backed this up as well. So I wouldn't be too quick to simply chuck over board those who have been caught.

All that aside Fedor is the greats MMA fight of all time by a wide margin.
