Is Andre Ward a protected boxer??

    Europeans don't cheer on European fighters. Doesn't work like that, Europe isn't a country. I don't feel any more affiliated with Kessler than I do with Dirrell or Ward. Having said that I am a Kessler fan and hate Ward but that is purely coincidental.

    ummm He got hit flush with Miranda's right hand a few times, plus he was cut froma headbut FROM MIRANDA in the 1st round of thir fight... So him making the 3 fighters above look like amaturs dosen't count for anything cause the Refs wouldn't let the opponents touch Ward.. Give me a ****en Break..

    This thread is a hidden attack piece.. True Ward has legit questions.. like him Working with Victor COnte.?? that could be talked about but that doesn't say he is cheating or not... Just tired of people not seeing this guy comming out of cuts then haiting cause he didn't do it the way the nay sayers said it should have been done.. these type of threads just drum up more hate about Andre Ward, and the things he has no control of, (Dirrell Dropping out, Taylor Dropping out, Dan Goosen husting his ass off to get Ward 3 home fights in a high profile Tourny.. I could go on...

    protected no way. He is in the super six thing isn't he? He will fight who he has to.

    so this is what I am asking about. Why he received 2 points and not fighting out of the tourney? Is he the special guy or what? 3 guys are out from super six but only now and only Ward is receiving 2 points and he is a leader with 6 points. I will not be surprised is they give him 2 more after his fight with Bika witch is non super six. :verysad

    It's ridiculous that Ward gets to fight all his Super Six fights at home. As the Super Six has proved, home advantage is an even bigger advantage than we previously thought

    Want to elaborate on that? The headbutts occured at the 9th and Ward was DOMINATING the fight at the point on.

    How can he be a protected fighters when he's in a tournament where he has to fight the 6 best boxers of he's division?

    till now the only match up was with Kessler :hey then crap Green then 2 points for Dr.Shaw Hi now will fight outside of super six with Bika. Basically his only opponent the real one was Kessler and he has 6 points now+all the fight in his backyard. I dont say Ward has no skills I want to understand whats going on.

    He's getting a lot of things his own way and i don't know how he escaped any criticism for the Dirrell fight not happening, as he clearly didn't want the fight right now just as much as Dirrell IMO. But i think people realise this kid is the complete package and a future P4P star, so i have no problem with them trying to get him a big following at home. Just love watching him fight...it's rare you see a young fighter in this day and age, who takes care of the little details and is trying to perfect the basics.
