Is Andre Ward good enough to have really tested a peak Roy Jones?

The sad thing about Roy is that hes been caught with steroids. That kinda tarnish his whole mr invincible thing.

tested yes. have a chance or even win vs prime roy. no, never. roy would have danced around him, getting rarely touched and than go in with fast one two or single punches just winning round by round. no calzaghe, ward and nobody else in the last 15 years would have had a chance vs prime roy between super middle. and lh..

If Bhop, a superior version of Ward couldn't handle Roy in his prime how in the hell can Ward?

He doesn`t get Toneyed but he loses comfortably on points, it takes more than to be a good technician to come close to beating a prime Jones (ask Hopkins)... Jones beats him about 9-3 in a fight that Ward is always in but just can`t get close enough often enough, Jones speed & power are too much for Ward here (maybe I`ll change my mind when Ward`s career is on the decline & we`ve seen all his best stuff but right now I`ll take Jones clearly)

 But according to you, it takes a whole lot less than being a good technician to make a very competitive fight with a prime Jones though (ask this guy...)

He'd give Roy a good match, but not a win

Ward would probably be about as difficult has Hopkins one if not more so

the guy is a rock solid fighter but we havent seen him pushed to a certain extent to know how he may handle certain situations

yeah I think to beat roy you need someone who hits like a jackhammer and with speed to the head, relentless. Thats sprobably why some people give Benn a chance.

    Ward doesnt do those things.

But does Roy have what it takes t omake Ward look bad? CLose fight.
