Is Andre Ward good enough to have really tested a peak Roy Jones?

Only people who give Benn a chance are dumbass Brits.

 

I;d never rule him out completely. On his PCP-like nights he could have pole-axed roy, but it would be a slim chance, I agree.

I think its disingenous to rule any pretty good fighter out completely versus a great. Even Ali lost to a not so great through some bad luck on the night.

 

Jones's speed would annahilate Ward.

But ward wins through UD if he fights in Oakland

 

and prime hopkins was 10 times the puncher than ward

 

I think Ward probably gets ko'd unless he goes into a shell. I have my doubts that Ward takes Jones best punches

 

Prime Roy would mop the floor with Ward, even in JOakland

 

I have no doubts. Ward could not take Jones's shots. Ward's hand speed is too slow and his punching too light to effect Roy.

 

Ward is the next p4p #1 if he isnt already.

I can't see Ward making it ugly unless you mean just trying to survive, even then a prime Roy makes it entertaining for the crowd.

 

Also I forgot Ward has questionable punch resistance.

 

I think Ward would clinch often and try to spoil the fight, he does that sometimes, trying to use his infighting ability, ....

 

Trying to clinch a prime Roy is a recipie for a knockout.
