Is andre ward lucian bute's (jeff lacy)?.....

Andre Ward is light years more skilled and fights nothing like Lacy log off.

 

Ward and Lacy couldn't be further apart in terms of styles. If anybody gets beaten decisively in a Ward-Bute fight, it'd be Bute.

 

Actually that's a very good comparison. It's easy for you guys to trash Jeff Lacy now and call him a bum seeing that he's down and has lost 3 of his last 4 fights but on his way up the ranks he was destroying guys. He won the IBF title with ease & at least in my opinion he looked impressive. Against a common opponent (Reid). Calzaghe struggled mightily and in most peoples opinion lost that fight but Lacy beat Reid like he stole something. Joe again kept postponing unification so it appeared he was scared at one point. Anyhow again it's funny how folk for get Jeff's successful days. Bottomline if Bute were to beat Ward bad, then ward gets a bad injury then goes on the downward spiral and loses 3 out of 4 fights ....... The anlogy would be SPOT ON. I guess we'll just have to see what happens when/if ward & bute meet in the ring.

 

You can see Ward has skill & intelligence. All I could see with Lacy was a big punch.

 

Ward has already beaten much better fighters than Lacy and you're assuming Bute is as good as Calzaghe.

 

Canadian Frenchies like Pascal and Bute are a bunch of no talent bums. Especially Bute who fights bums of the month in Canada avoiding elite fighters. Real Talk

 

Lacy got a lot of hype from having a catchy nickname a chisseled physique and KOing a bunch of cans he was a knock out artist and people tend to overrate them. While Ward is a skilled technician who can make adjustments can fight on the inside or outside go to the body and bang when he has to. You can't compare Ward with Lacy because no comparison can be made. Ward's career and skill **** on Lacy and if you can't see it then you should find a new sport.:good

 

If this is a joke - it's funny. If it's not a joke WTF.

While there is NO comparison between Ward & Bute (none!) , I don't see Ward's future being anything remotely that horrible. Also, there styles are nothing alike. Ward has no power.

Jeff Lacy used to have power. Now-a-days he is Jeff "what hook" Lacy. Or Jeff "Calzaghe's *****" Lacy-Dress.

Ward is a slick boxer with excellent footwork. Lacy has no idea what footwork is, nor did he ever have defense. His style was hit, get hit, land the bomb. Once the shoulder injury and after he got his AZZ kicked he was never the same.

Leave lil tyson alone, and Ward will grow his career over time.

 

I wasn't suggesting (nor do I believe the OP was suggesting) that Lacy & Ward are the same FIGHTER or the Same style. What i'm saying is the Situation is very similar. Lacy was much hyped and becoming a superstar and is expected to unify & rule the division. He was well on that track until he ran into Joe. As a matter of fact he was favored to win that fight. I see the same thing in Ward. He's hyped being predicted to win the super six and go on to unify the division. So i'm just agreeing saying YES the situation is similar. Ward's stock is pretty high right now but if he wins the super six then fights bute and gets a straight up beatdown...... I can very well see Ward becoming a "lacy"

Lacy was not a world championship level fighter, your an idiot and a troll.

 

Andre ward will beat the hell outta bute like calzaghie did to lacy if thats what you mean.

 

Frochs in tough with johnson but if infact he doesn beat johnson......ward will whup his butt aswell.

Pull up the old threads, i picked ward in the super 6. I was one of the few.
