Is Andre Ward more or less getting a pass for disgracefully bringing Chad Dawson...

I don't see what the problem is. Boxing has always been about getting every single advantage in your favor from weight, location, ring size, etc. I have no problem with it whatsoever. It's all part of the game. I just don't want Dawson looking like a zombie, but he does it's on him

As a Ward fan I hope everything goes as planned.
A Dawson win would derail Andre's rise bigtime considering everything Chad agreed to for this fight to happen. (Weight/Venue)

This question depends on who you are.

If you are a butt hurt fan of one of the three Euro's Ward dispatched in the Super Six with relative ease, or a Calspappy nuthugger then of course you have a problem with this fight.

Then there are the people that realize that Ward is the draw in the fight and secondly Chad offered to come down in weight. If Chad says he can make the weight, he should be taken at his word.

It's funny that when Chad wanted to replace Taylor in the Super Six, one of the first people to start whining like a ***** that Dawson was too big was Froch. Glen Johnson, an old man was A-OK to move down from 175 though.

He's not forcing Dawson into this..

Chad's gonna kick that ass anyway.

Yhose were catchweights to win titles. 168 is not a catchweight.
Dawson said he would do it and it all depends on how he looks on the scales and how he performs on the night.

Yep definitely getting a pass. This doesn't do much for Ward either IMO. Dawson has looked pretty crap ever since the Johnson fights, where I think he peaked.

This coming down to 168 sure as hell isn't going to give him a better work rate either. Should have at LEAST done a catchweight with no titles on the line

Calzaghe was already past it when he fought Jones and Hopkins and he still beat both on foreign soil

its clear that ward is purely a home town fighter with his own rules and being hyped way out of proportion. i've never liked dawson because it was clear he ducked a superior 168 division to fight ageing c-level fighters at 175 :deal

dawson beat ageing c-level fighters at 175 and that clearly took dawson to major american hype job status in the gullable, brainwashed, narrow minded american HBO / ring magazine lead american boxing market, there was even some members of this forum ranking dawson as number 3 in their p4p lists :lol::lol::rofl:patsch

the more educated on esb saw through the hype, so much so that the team elite corporation repeatedly told unbelieving members of the esb that dawson would be exposed as a disgracefull american hypejob by losing to plodding carl froch victim jean pascal :hi:

its clear that dawson dodged 168 at the peak of its powers and now see's the division as easy pickings after its decline. ward is now the hometown american hypejob waiting to be exposed and dawson knows this (he see's some of himself in ward with regards to the hypejob status), creating a sizzling all american hypejob v hypejob encounter that will see winner being hyped into a truely false position in the boxing world :yep
