    Dawson couldnt even sell out his own living room let alone an arena and your telling me they have equal bargaining power. Belts dont come into it. If bargaining power was based on a fighter ability then yeh sure Dawson would have a case. However as it stands Ward is the fighter in demand and the guy who holds the bargaining cards, he has the momentum and is the more popular fighter.

    Dawson was trying to get himself a big fight so was trying to be flexible, when they started negotiating Dawson's team tried to work things (even a 170 catchweight would have been ok) but since Ward was the bigger name he FORCED them to stick to the 168 limit and to top it off he got them to agree to fight in his own hometown (again)

    All Joe has over Ward is title defences? Don't forget resume, longevity and the fact that Joe's the better boxer. Ward's best win is a past prime Kessler, who Joe beat the prime undefeated version without headbutts.
