People calling him the next Bernard Hopkins are overrating him imo. I don't see THAT kind of all-around skill and brilliance. People calling him one of the very best fighters in the world at the moment with the potential to do something great in the sport are spot-on.
I dont' see any overrated. He was underrated if anything. he was not supposed to succeed in the super 6. He is takin' all those guys to school. Dude has talent & great boxing skill. he is slick as ice...he also has amazing footwork. He has no power though, which will make some boring long drawn out fights if his opponent is not very competitive.
Nope. And that's basedon the fact that he's not seen on the level of PAc or Floyd. He's still seen as 'second teir', and that's about right.
Ward is Future Pound for Pound top dog. He has faced many of the top fighters in his weight class at this point and come out in dominant form. He remains undefeated as a professional and won a Gold Medal for what it's worth. Not sure what's overrated about that.
I dont get this overrated stuff. No one's saying he's p4p top 5 or even top 10. Just currently he's one of the elite SMW's in the world and maybe #1 in that division. But thats a stacked division. Ward, Bute, Dirrell, Kessler, Froch, Pavlik. Some nice fights could be made post super 6.
