you'll get use to bailey check his other posts/ threads they are either blatant flag waving for his fellow brits, or discrediting American fighters who claim a state of rivalry with a brit - in ward's case, bailey plays down his achievements because he doesn't want calzaghe's name challenged 'mythically' at the top of the SMW standings
Nobody other than Marquez or Ward should be #2 and 3. Marquez's KTFO of Pacquiao is a far greater win than anything Ward has done, however, you have to give credit to the guy for stepping up the level of competition he faced so drastically when the Super Six began. At the time, SMW was probably the most stacked division and Ward was relatively unknown (dunno how it was in America, but from where I am I didn't know who the f*ck Andre Ward was until he whooped Kessler), he stepped up and faced the elite of his division for two years straight and remained undefeated. He then proceeded to face a drained Dawson, but whooped him so bad I just can't imagine this fight being any different at any weight. I think Andre Ward still owns that #2 spot. Depending on how Marquez does against Bradley, he might go down to #3 soon though. Been too long since he last boxed.
:good good post ward's had a horror injury run, and now hes over it, the SMW division is pretty jaded unless the 'son of a legend' moves up and injects some much needed interest at SMW, ward doesn't have many genuine opponents
Mayweather - only guy you could argue that takes #1 over Ward that I will somewhat listen too (even though Mayweather is kind of yesterday's news). Marquez - Got his ****ing ass whooped by mayweather and pacman (multiple times) Klitshko's - Fighting in the weakest, worst ****ing division (and has been for awhile). You do not get to be in top 10 p4p dominating this garbage. And let's not forget his stinker with Haye which was absolutely embarrassing for the sport and the heavyweights in general. Martinez - Martinez has some business he needs to do with GGG before this conversation with Ward can begin. Remember, Ward cleaned out 168. Martinez struggled like hell with Murray... Rigo - Gets a big win against Donaire and all of a sudden he is top 10 p4p? He needs to clean out a division first. This is ****ing laughable to say Rigo is ahead of Ward. Mares - Gets his biggest win against Akebko by low blowing him 20 times to avoid a ass whooping. Yes this is top 10 p4p material right here. Still thought he lost to Yhonny Perez. Pacman - Gets clipped and he is now ahead of Ward? Donaire - Loses and he is now ahead of Ward? Hopkins - Openly says he wants no part of Ward, and yet he is ahead of Ward? Dude you need to stop posting. Stfu, fall back, and cancel your account.
I knew it had to be Froch that got his panties in a bunch. And btw, Ward KO's prime Calzaghe. Just in case any brit has some kind of false hope that one of their fellow countrymen can even compete on the US's level.
Whoa, what? So a guy who has fought and lost to Pacman 3 other times finally gets a KO win when Pacman is past it, and that is more than anything Ward has done? Let's remember one thing very ****ing clearly - Ward is undefeated, Marquez is not. Please tell me Ward's division was weak... And then tell me how he KO'd the man at light heavy wasn't **** either....
* if you're going back only 3 or 4 years, where does that leave mayweather? floyd has only four fights in that span. you also have to realize how many weight divisions marquez has jumped in that time span and has now beaten the second best welter after coming up from featherweight. *marquez was coming up in weight, so he wasn't taking on the best of the division while he was getting adjusted to the weight. once he got adjusted, he took on the second best WW after fighting the best WW previously. jmm has looked as impressive if not more than ward considering pacman is levels above anyone ward has fought. * the last two points are just speculation based on your opinion.
marquez lost twice to pacman officially, and both fights were very, very close. marquez holds the only definitive win between the two fighters, and he did it 3 divisions north of his career weight class.
If you weren't a braindead flamer, you'd have read more than just the first sentence and noticed that I'm actually agreeing with you on almost every point you tried to make.
Im truly honoured to have the mighty Beouche comment on a post of mine. littleteddy27 How you doing champ?
I knew an incoming wall of jibberish was on its way. This is all I had to read to understand why you do not feel Ward belongs in top 10 p4p. Thanks for proving it. And Boone beat Ward, lol!
