LOL, your response is the exact same emotion laden response given by those who said the exact same thing about why Lucien Bute would beat Andre Ward, and why Hatton would defeat Mayweather.
Jones, Toney and every other fighter with a brain stay away from the UK solely because they don't wish to lose by the terrible referree'ing we always seem to see in Germany and the UK. :yep

I would have liked to have seen Calzaghe face any good opponent of his time, but like Felix Strumm, he was only interested in facing Euro-bums.
Calzaghe Versus Nunn would have been interesting. Nunn by TKO.

Calzaghe was a great inside fighter when he got in close. so it's clear you didn't watch much of his career. but you go ahead with the typical ignorant comments that we see so much of from Americans. :-(

there were large periods in the fight with Kessler that was fought at close quarters. i suggest you watch again.

Calzaghe would have ****ed that overrated fools world up. we saw what happens to Ward when he comes against someone who has a bit of inside game in them like Bika did. and he'd been out for 18 months and was rusty to hell. Joe would have beat him up for fun then knocked him out. it's all about levels. Ward isn't on the same level as a Joe Calzaghe. time will very much prove this.

    1) Americans don't travel because they're cowards who like their little set-up at home where they can lose the fight but have help from the ref and judges. this happens nearly all the time for the Americans.

    2) nobody cheats as much as the Americans. nobody. don't insult us by putting our name next to yours. in fact, don't insult the Germans either. they're bad, yes. but nowhere near as bad as you lot.

    3) James Toney??? why, what robberies happened at the time he was around for him to think this?

    4) Toney came to the UK for prizefighter. but to be fair, James is so punch drunk he probably forgets what he was thinking 2 minutes ago.

    5) you're a *****. :deal

    6) Joe spanked every American he ever faced. hardly Euro-bums. they're AmeriCANS.

His worst point was that Toney had a brain.

Toney is thick as two short planks.

American boxing pundits don’t like to admit it but Super Joe has been the best Super Middle Weight for 10 years, and he is the best pound for pound best fighter in the world today – no one comes close. Joe’s 46 and 0 (KO 32), includes the likes of Chris Eubank, Mikkel Kessler, Jeff Lacy, Robin Reid, Omar Sheika, Richie Woodhall, Mario Veit (twice), Charles Brewer, and Tocker Pudwill, before he went over to America to play spank the Yank with Bernadette Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr. Whereas, in all fairness to Jones, his 52 (KO 38) + lost 5 (KO 2) ain’t quite so impressive - and he also ducked a few fighters.

Gerald McClellan was a better fighter than Roy Jones Jr, he had a resounding win over Jones in the 1988 National Golden Gloves competition. When Gerald McClellan came over to England to fight Nigel Benn in the London Arena for his WBC Super Middle Weight Title on the 25 Feb 1995, he was expected to win and then go on to defend the title against Roy Jones Jr. But the fight didn’t go to plan – Benn turned the G-man into a vegetable. After that Jones ducked Nigel Benn and then moved up a weight. Roy Jones Jr is a great fighter, one of the greatest over the last 15 years and he deserves the respect he gets for that, but he’s no Joe Calzaghe.

It's what he does. Which is why he's basically not enjoyable to watch. Maybe the most overrated champion out there.
