Is Andre Ward the most boring champion of the last 25 years?

Absolutely not. Ward is a pleasure to watch in the ring. Can fight at all ranges with good defense and a high ring IQ. I love watching a technician like Ward go to work.

There's probably been 200 different guys who called themselves "Champ" the last 25 years. And you think Ward is the most boring?Ever heard of Derrick Gainer? Sven Ottke? Chris Byrd? Hell, Wlad's fights are a bore, even when he's KOing other HW's.

If you love clinching dressed up as skill, Andre Ward is your guy

But, not most boring, but he's up there

 

Sturm is more boring to me.

At least with Ward he's very athletic so he can give you lots of angles and uses great movement to set traps for his opponents and create openings.

Sturm just stands straight up, throws jabs, 1-2 s and some hooks here and there.

And when he's not punching he's just standing there with his guard up blocking punches.

That style is alot more boring to me than Ward's.

 

Henry Maske was extremelly boring but he was a LHWT, possibly Otkke. Ward is a very consistent and smart fighter, possibly his fights get a lil bit too one-sided.

 

Chris Byrd. Sven Ottke. Shannon Briggs. Chris John. Koki Kameda. Henry Akinwande. Vitali Tajbert. There have been plenty much, much worse. At worst, I find Ward fun to watch because he's so crafty and I never know what tactics he'll break out. Hell, I find him more entertaining as a fighter than Bernard Hopkins.
