Is Andre Ward v Kovalev (175) the best fight to be made in boxing right now?

stevenson is not in his weight class. If Ward's wants to stay for a couple more years then he can do that. Thats how it was back in the day. Hopkins was Middle weight champ for almost 10 years

Ward vs Froch 2
Ward vs GGG, after GGG moves up and beats a worthy guy or 2 at 168.

Kovalev vs the Bute/Pascal winner.
Kovalev vs Stevenson.

This, of course, assumes that both guys get through this without derailing the fight, either by loss or injury. It is a very interesting contrast in styles and I'd love to see it.

 

I think Kovalev-Stevenson will likely be made first, with Ward potentially positioned to face the winner in what would undoubtedly be a compelling. There are other fights that are just as, if not even more compelling to the hard-core/hipster faction...

* Yamanaka/Moreno (Undisputed bantamweight championship btx a southpaw long range bomber and super slick boxer with a withering body attack)

* Gonzalez/Estrada II (Watch the first fight and you'll understand why the rematch would be something the hardcore fans would anticipate)

* Segura/Concepcion (Segura/Marquez and Marquez/Concepcion I were among the top ten fights of this decade. Having Giovani and Luis complete the triangle is only natural, and would make for an intense brawl for as long as it lasted)

* Ali Raymi/Ricardo Lopez (Because it's got to happen. Period. :bart)

 

If Ward wants a fight with Stevenson, the all his has to do is say yes, as Stevenson has been calling him out for some time now, even on national TV, and I know Ward saw that......................Stevenson said that if Ward is afraid to fight him at 175, he will go down to Ward's weight division..............no one comment by Ward. Ward wants to fight smaller fighters, want them to come up in weight 8 lbs. or more, but he will not fight Stevenson at his own weight?!

There is talk of Kovalev Vs. Stevenson in the future.................

Your right Kovalev and GGG are untested. They get a lot of hype on this forum but no where else. They both still have a lot to prove. GGG is fun to watch but like Ward said it is easy to look good against c level fighters. GGG is just to damn easy to hit. As far as Kovalev he will lose when he steps up. He reminds me of Mago.

 

Who cares? Why is it always about race on this forum?? THe problem is people like Farmboxer always spamming racial views. Look back at his posts. If there white he praises them. If there black he claims they cheat if they win. ES boxing is a very racial place. They are a lot of anti white posters as well
