Yeah LOL, beating (Calzaghe, Bute) chewed fighters makes Ward top 10 allready while Joe and Lucian are criticized all the time and not even considered top 20 at that time LOL!!

Taking about bias and lack of consistency of some of the guys on this board

There is NO WAY Ward is top 10 P4P. Anyone who has him over Froch for starters is a joke!

show me John Ruiz doing that. Its called inside fighting, and Andre Ward is a master of it.

Also, Ward beat the **** out of Kessler. Kessler then went and beat Froch. Not saying that Ward would beat Kessler based on that(but I do believe he would), But according to that and the fact Ward beat Green and Bika I don't see how you can give Froch the nod over Ward.

For starters we could examine their performance against common opponents.

I'm thinking of a tattooed Danish boxer.

Froch didn't have the luxury of being able to fight him in his own backyard and headbut him at will.

And soon, you'll be thinking of a dangerous Armenian turtle. Let's see if Ward boxes circles around him, hopefully Dirrell convinces his good friend to show some real versatility...

Froch will look like a genius if Ward chooses to rough AA up and gets KD in the process. Mind you, Ward would learn a thing or two by going down... a KD is the only thing that would get AA a round on the cards if the fight is held in Joakland.

Whoever said Ward could land bombs at mid range is probably right... but AA's bombs are more effective than Ward's, so I doubt Ward will want to work from mid range at all.

OK, if those are the rules, then Froch's win against Dirrell doesn't count either. After all, Dirrell didn't have the luxury of body-slamming and hitting Froch on the top of the head at will. Nor did he have the luxury of a raucous crowd applauding wildly every time Froch missed Dirrell with a wide, awkward punch. And then there were the judges....

Either you're going to be consistent, or not.

AA doesn't have inside bombs. He lunges forward from distance. His inside game is non-existent. He is lost at sea without the high guard and opponent that fails to tire.

Ward will win this one in Helsinki, Monaco, Oakland, and maybe even Berlin.

LOL sounds like the Ward fight with Bika...when he went for combos and missed the crowd went wild....and you talking about judging...Bika Ward result:

    120-108
    118-110
    118-110

you really telling me ward had a shutout i think fcukin not...and u really think the scores of the dirrel fight were bad, i think not...:

    113-114 for Dirrel
    115-112 for Froch
    115-112 for Froch

Excessive holding is against the rules of the sport. If those rules were properly enforced Ruiz, he would have been disqualified in virtually every fight he had against opponents above the journeyman level.

He had no real top level skills to speak of, which is why he had to engage in illegal tactics to even be competitive at the world class level. And his connections with King allowed him to get away with it.

I was responding to a comparison made between Froch and Ward based on their respective fights with Kessler. Froch fought him away and lost a contraversial decision, Ward fought him at home where he was able to use his forehead and fight dirty. The Dirrell fight doesn't come into it, as the Ward-Dirrell fight never happened
