I usad to enjoy it. Expensive though so I do not go out to much there now. I have only seen the small part of Beeston where I park and it looks scarey but everywhere has its good and bad places. Nice little Al qeada training camp you got going, they keep thier heads down on a saturday it seems.

Andy Lee vs Darren Rhodes at Elland Road.

Depends where you park lol - I would love to see Carl Johanneson vs Kevin Mitchell at Elland Road rather than on some undercard!

I think Lee could actually beat Winky right now, and I think it would be a good match for Andy win or lose. Winky is not capable of giving Lee the type of one sided beatdown that would be a setback for his career, and the experience of fighting Wright would be worth more than his other 15 fights combined.
At this point in Winky's career the only advantages he has over Lee is his jab and counter punching. Lee has better speed, footwork, power, and workrate, and unless Lee's chin is glass I can see him stopping Wright. Winky hasn't impressed me in a long time.

Do you really know that much about this guy? i havn't heard of him until he was on espn last week. I'm not a wright fan but i do know that he's got more to offer than just a jab and counter. His defense is still top notch.

I'm Irish so I've been following Lee since amateurs and I've seen all of his pro fights. But you're right about Wright's defense, it is top notch but if he beats Lee, it will be by decision, and it will still be good for Lee's development.

Lee is a good prospect, but Wink would make a fool out of him.

Manny Steward's old fighter JT didnt have much like against wink aside from the BS Draw he got after a lackluster performance. Those belts are definately Wink's.

I think Pavlik vs. Wink is a mismatch, but for however long it would have been, Wink should have been the champ.

i just read an article fron the Irish Independant sports section. Here is Lee's planned schedule for the rest of the year.
    March 21st - Brian Vera
    April 10th - Willie Gibbs
    Early May - Howard Eastman
    late June - Winky Wright
    November - Kelly Pavlik

Steward has said that he and Arum have agreed to the November date if Lee can come through the rest of his schedule

Interesting, why is Steward pushing him? Lee won't make it past Wright.

If Lee keeps progressing i would give him a good chance against Winky. What surprises me is why winky would fight him unless it was an elimination bout to challenge Pavlik.
Winky turned down numerous big fights last year and fighting Lee would be a somewhat strange decision at the twilight of his career

    Pavlik in November?:nut

Manny wants revenge. and this is a mistake on the level with Davey Moore/Roberto Duran, and bound to have similar results. If this fight comes off, they'll charge Manny with child abuse :hi:

If I were Lee's management, I'd take Pavlik off completely for now, and try to make the target a year end/early 2009 bout vs Winky. There's absolutely no need to rush him that much.
