He'll have his 27th fight in a couple of weeks and he is fighting, yet one more time, a complete can. The time is overdue for a gatekeeper, muchacho.

His promoter Arum doesn't have faith in him yet, it's well known they purposely stalled his progress until he can sort his weight and conditioning issues out. Ruiz Jr needs to keep losing weight and show his promoters that he is serious about his career, until he shows steady progress in this area Arum will keep feeding him journeymen.

He needs to pull his trunks up. Busting a sag in the fight game just doesn't cut it.

And as we all know, a steady diet of tomato cans and journeymen is also a good way to get to a title shot. One only needs patience.

True, especially with the titles now splintered, it's going to be even easier to get an undeserved title shot with so many belt holders, regular champions and interim champions.

The guy is Arreola 2.0. He'll get destroyed IF he ever steps up.

See Hamer and Liakhovich for what would happen if and when Ruiz finally decides to step up. If Hamer didn't have a glass heart he'd have beaten Ruiz no question, if Liakhovich actually trained he'd have won no question. I scored it a draw. Ruiz barely won against a shot, and poorly prepared Liakhovich.

He's nothing like arreola. Ruiz is fast and knows how to box. Guy can really get in and out.
