Definitely Won WBA, WBO and IBF titles all within 21 fights, beating 2 rival undefeated HW champs and a HOFer to win the 3 titles Seems to have looked to have gone after the big fights His resume is impressive for someone who hasn't had 30 pro fights Beat Undefeated Whyte Undefeated Martin Undefeated Parker Undefeated Breazeale W Klitschko Pulev Poverkin Avenged the Ruiz loss
I'm not arguing about Vlad's reign which was long but the quality os opposition wasn't great in the fact you have Brock and Mccline listed. Also as another example of you BS. you have Whyte as being green. so what was Joshua at that point? This is my point your not applying the same rules to both fighters. as you have to put down Joshua's opposition down to lever your point. It's the kind of crap Wilder fanboys have to do because their man's resume is utter shite. So let me make it clear Vlad has the better lefacy as it stands at the moment. however your methods are transparent. Vlad was lineal but wasn't undisputed and fought weak competition. what's his signature win? Hugging Sasha? or his dull win agaunst Haye?
I only listed Mccline and Brock because I was asked to do a top10. Again, I never stated that Wlad is a top5 ATG heavyweight, never stated that he had great opposition, never stated that his opponents were elite, never stated that he had a single ATG level win. What are you trying to argue against exactly? The only one who’s trigerred and full of **** here is you. Yes, I’m appling exact same standards to both of them. I’m pointing out that Wlad, Povetkin and Pulev were old and washed up when AJ faced them. For the very same reason, I’m not including Brewster or Ray Mercer among Wlad’s solid wins because they were old and washed up. I’m pointing out that Whyte was a prospect when AJ beat him because that’s exactly what he was. Joshua himself was green also, and? Same can be said about Wlad when he beat Byrd for the first time, but that would be completely irrelevant. My methods of ranking their legacies are perfectly fair and balanced, you keep parroting his lack of signsture win doesn’t change that because that was never the argument.
Are we talking about the Boxing Hall of Fame, or the Ticket Sales Hall of Fame? Joshua has as good a resume as Bonecrusher Smith. And worse losses. So no, he stays home and not in the BHOF.
LOL. Sorry but disagree. I think selling tickets and entertaining people should be taken into consideration. If he wasn't a good fighter he wouldn't sell so much. Also your work outside of the ring. The guy has helped the sport a lot. It's the same as Fury's wins are not the only thing that makes him deserve HOF. It's his mental health awareness work as well. Both Fury and AJ could retire now and both be HOF, if not ATG. His best wins - Wlad Povetkin Ruiz Whyte Parker Pulev That's a better resume than either of the Klitscko's, and arguably the best HW resume around at the moment. I agree it's not good enough for ATG, but HOF? Definitely. The guy has just entertained too much, sold too many seats, and beat enough good opponents to be considered.
Of course he will be in the HOF to argue otherwise is just stupidity from the contingent that don't like him for whatever reason https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...-fights-1990-to-present.674335/#post-21288033
Washed up =/= Past their prime. 38 yo Pov was rank 3 at the time. Not the same POV as the one Whyte fought at 41. Wlad was past his prime but at 41 he was still a great fighter. You're biased against Joshua and therefore you're doing whatever you can do make his opponents look as **** as possible.
I never mentoined Vlad being an top 5 ATG. you've just pulled that out of your arse..... I clearly stated I wasn't disputing Vlads long reign I was pulling you up on you crapping on Joshua's opponents. I mean Vlad may have been 41 but he looked pretty good that noght and would have handled most of the top 10 so therefore he was clearly not washed up. The point about Whyte was that Joshua was green himmself but you didn't mention that I did. It's important as it gives context. The way you implied it without mentioning it implies Joshua was prime fighting a green Whyte which demonstrates clear bias. So I've proven with examples given that you are far from fair and balanced. which is why I've been forced to handle you. You're clearly a Wilder / Fury special needs fanboy or just a Joshua hater. Take your pick.
Or maybe you’re biased in favour of him and I’m being realistic. Whether Povetkin was washed up or past prime is open to debate, I’m okay with anyone thinking either way. But, David Price wouldn’t have seen the end of the first round against the Povetkin from 3 years ago, let alone going 5 and scoring a KD in the meantime. And I certainly don’t agree with Wlad being “still a great fighter” at the time of the AJ fight, based on the fact that he was coming off of a loss, a year and a half lay off and a very lackluster performance against a mediocre opponent before that.
What the hell does Wilder have anything to do with this you moron? It seems like your butthurt over the criticism Joshua gets forced you to distract. No, Joshua doesn’t get extra points for being green against Whyte for the same reason Wlad doesn’t get extra points for being in his late 30s against Povetkin, Pulev and Jennings. That’s why I’m balanced, you’re not. And I never said 41 year old Wlad wouldn’t have beaten some of the other top10 HWs at the time, you pulled that out of your ass. A fighter can be washed up, semi retire and can still beat some of the other top10 fighters. Hate to break it to you but you don’t have boxing knowledge not the IQ level to “handle me”.
The problem is when people start using the word prime for certain fights/fighters it is often used in conjunction with having an agenda (I'm not saying you do or don't) Was Povetkin prime when having a tough close fight with Huck or pre prime? Was Huck prime then as he had lost to Cunningham previously Or could it be that all fights are very different. No dispute in that fighters can be faded, not have the same resistance etc but the word prime gets used alot on these forums to suit, which is where as said, context needs to be applied If for example in a years time Hughie Fury picked up a world title and made a couple of defences, would he have been pre prime when losing to Pulev and Povetkin and them prime? This is why I say that all fights are different. Yes you can gauge things but shouldn't completely define things
Well it's usually Wilder or Fury fans that have to discredit Joshua to support there own case. I wasn't asking for extra points for Joshua I merely wanted you to be even handed which I demostrated clearly that you are not. The point about Vlad was you were crapping on Joshua's win and I was correctly pointing out that Vlad was in great shape and focussed that night and would have beaten most of the top 10. So it kind of craps all over your entire premise. How can Vlad be washed up and still take out most of the top 10 you complete spastic..... Then he's not "washed up" then if he's still competitive you mong. Well I clearly have you fanny. your knowledge is poor as demonstrated by both of our ratios. one of us speaks sense and the other is a drooling anus....... Also I was watching boxing when you still swimming around in your mothers nut sack you gibbering buffoon. Life tip people who claim to have high IQ when they've just been clowned tend not to.....just saying...
No he's a bum A journeyman All his belts and medals were gifted or bought. How many reigning champs did he beat? none He's a manufactured hype job.
A washed up fighter can still be better than some of his competitors you ******, that entirely depends on the particular competitor. Washed up Pacquaio beat a titlist in Thurman a couple of years ago and even the one that was sent to retirement by Ugas could still beat some WWs ranked in top10. But thanks for province your non-existing Boxing knowledge by yourself. No, this has nothing whatsoever to do with Wilder or Fury, but that’s just typical of idiotic fangirls like you to deflect once they get owned. And You could be watching boxing for 50 years, you still wouldn’t have half the comprehension of it that I would for watching it for a year with that peabrain of yours.
I think Povetkin was prime when he faced Huck, he was just against a bad style match up and a fighter that liked to fight dirty and was very unorthodox. I think prime Huck would give any version of problems. Hughie looked to be improving against Hammer. If he carries that out against a contender(say he goes in there and beats someone like Joyce) then yes, It can be refererred to as him being pre-prime against Pulev, Povetkin and definetly Parker. Or maybe that was just a case of Hammer being washed up and It was the same Hughie as ever. Time will tell.
