He's fought at amateur level and in the olympics, in what world is he ''very inexperienced''? You'd think he was just random big dude that was plucked out of a club the way some of you talk about this guy. No excuse for 12 bums, it shows his handlers are weary of his ability.
It doesn't necessarily. It does show a couple of things for sure though 1) He isn't being rushed. People have learned from David Price 2) Matchroom know sticking him on any bill against any person will help sell tickets
its the standard way of building up a fighter unless they are elite level talent. 10 -15 fights against very low level and then another 10 against a slight incline in quality so hopefully by the time the guy is 25-30 fights in he is ready for the top level... Kell Brook is an example of this Hatton too.. Its what happens in British boxing Kingpin is a small step in the right direction a guy who doesn't throw much but is good defensively and then hopefully he will step up to a higher level and competitive fights. In fairness to AJ he has got rid of these 10-11 gimme fights quickly not over 3-4 years. The next 4-5 fights will tell us how good AJ is going to be.. as long as the names in the other corner are decent.
