    Christ thats quick.
Applying the same logic of some posters on here that would mean that Corrie Sanders, at 15 years of age would have dismantled Muhammad Ali because he had better and faster footwork.

How much faster would you say the simplest forms of PED's help you run? Stuff like Test or even Equipoise? Let alone the state of the art designer stuff Joshua probably takes.

Like say if Joshua in his completely natural, off the streets, getting arrested and targeting old people state, ran a 12.5 second 100 meters.... how long to get him down to a 11.4 like in the video clip??

Hahaha! I hear ya :D Corrie was no doubt blessed in the fast twitch category though. His hands were freakishly fast. And he didn't really look the part either. Looked like an Arby's manager but had WICKED pop.

    Exactly.
    Talking sense.

These guys aren't "general athletes", they do boxing. That's the only event they seriously compete in. That's how we measure them.

Good question! My experience is limited primarily to how PED's effect one's rep maximums in the major lifts. It was common to see 18-25 year old who ranged from athletes to recreation weight trainers that had 315 lb bench presses go up 365 or a bit more after an 8 week run on a moderate dose of TEST!

I would feel comfortable speculating that an athlete could take a second off their 100 meter time with a similar run of just TEST! Assuming of course they were not already and elite sprinter. in that instance something like a 10.5 could drop to a 10.0.

    Long term example:

Powerlifter Mark Bell hit a 405 bench drug free at 195 in high school. Sometime after he began his journey into PED's and competitive powerlifting and at 35 years old, did a 585 single in the 275 lb class. He is now 40 and retired from competition, i believe.

Of course results can vary from person to person but the above example is pretty typical.

I remember Ben Johnson going from a 10.20 sprinter to his infamous 9.79 at Seoul Korea. That doesn't sound like much but it's a huge jump in speed.

And of course Barry Bonds going from a 450' home run hitter and maximum 40-45 a season to his infamous BALCO aided 500' homer power and 50 to 73 in a season. Stuff helps MAJORLY with explosiveness apparently.

    Marciano was simply a freak.
I think in terms of pure fitness, endurance and stamina he was the fittest heavyweight champion of them all, he was fighting at a pace in the last third of his fights equal or greater than the first third.
Joshua is obviously a modern day power athlete but comparing them on the sort of fitness I've described above, then I don't think there's any comparison.
Whether that makes Marciano a better athlete than Joshua I wouldn't know.

Bonds was not just using those crappy dermal TEST patches or creams that BALCO charges an arm and a leg for. He was also on stuff like Trenbolone.

Oh no doubt about it! Checkout the book 'Game Of Shadows' it goes into detail. He also used HGH to the point where his shoe size grew three sizes in his late thirties ;)

The point is though, that Bonds was not in the minority.

Oh there were a bunch of MLB guys on gear back then. But from what I've heard... Bonds was basically like Tim Roth in the Hulk movie. Lol Went waaaay overboard.

Joshua could compete with prime Pudzianowski, of course he's more athletic than Rocky. He just doesn't have the same stamina.

Yeah so did his ****ing head. It blew up like a baloon. Damn thing made Blizzy's head look like beatlejuice's LOL

Anthony Joshua's head and facial structure is also different now compared to him in the amateurs.

I struggle to think of a more lethal southpaw at HW than Sanders.... He achieved a lot despite poor backing, lack of support, avoided like the plague, poor work ethic.. The only others who even come close is maybe S. Ibragimov, Mansour is a more recent example but he's a good tier below either.

Yeah that is true but no more than say Mark McGwire. His brother whom he no longer speaks to wrote a tell all book detailing everything he was taking and dosages. Mark said it was the truth. Frank Thomas, Jim Thome, Ricky Henderson, Sammy Sosa, Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez, basically just list the best baseball players of the last 25 years at least and you'd be the biggest of fools to not know they were all juicing 'to the gills.' Over half the A's and Giant's rosters were involved in the Balco scandal. And why is it only baseball players many sports fans believe? Balco was just caught, that's why we know. Think of the dozens and dozens of PED peddlers out there. For example, the "anti-aging clinic" in Miami that Gamboa got busted with (along with A-Rod, Gio, and many others). Or random Dr. Anthony Galea from Canada giving illegal HGH treatments to Tiger Woods, A-Rod (again), Santana Moss, and I forget the many other names of pro athletes across various sports he had documentation for when busted.
