He's been knocked out in the amateurs and was badly hurt in his last fight against Dillian Whyte. What happens if Deontay The Bronze Bomber Wilder puts one on his chin? I do not dare to imagine. AJ is an exciting prospect, but his chin really is worrying!! :deal
Im not sold on his chin it looks really glassy to me he might be the next black price. Martins is a bum crazy how the brits make him to be some killer god help us if joshy actually beats someone of note
No. Yes he got wobbled no doubt by Whyte. Thing is Whyte has a big big dig on him and AJ didnt go down, rode it out, took a round to recover then fought much much more proffesionally for the rest of the fight. So if anything i was actually a bit impressed by that rather than worried.
Whyte indeed had him hurt and he didn't go down. If Whyte threw those punches at Price, he would have knocked him out. Joshua's chin is much better then Price (but that's not hard).
It's hard to find anyone in heavyweight boxing at the moment that has a solid chin. They all go down at some point, but it's having the will to fight on that it comes down to. Wilder, Fury, Wladamir, Povetkin etc have all gone down and got straight back up. Joshua hasn't even been down yet, so give him a chance before making these silly accusations....
Nope. The shot Whyte landed- had that landed on any American heavyweight, they'd still be asleep now :tired
I think his chin is fine, not cast iron but it seems OK. Anyone can get hurt or KO'ed at heavyweight, unless you have an epic chin. Nobody thinks Ali's chin was worrisome just because he was dropped by a 185lbs Cooper or that Holyfield's chin was a weakness because Bert Cooper hurt him.
AJ doens't have a glass chin, but he's probably average. Whyte is not overrated, he has good skills and power and a damn good chin. He was throwing and landing nice counters on AJ, and his jab gave him powers. He had **** stamina or he could've won that fight. If Deontay lands power on him then he goes down. Biggest thing is that AJ right now, doesn't deal with the jab very well which would allow Deontay to get off first. This is why AJ isn't ready but he'll have to be in 2017 with this moved up time table.
