Even if he doesn't win another fight in his career? He's basically made his name off his colossal upset victory of Roy Jones. He is also the two time light heavyweight Champ, and has a decent resume. I think he is a borderline HOF, maybe not first ballot, but he will get the vote basically on his 2 victories over Roy alone. What y'all think?
No he is not a HOF. But he will be remembered forever for one of the biggest upsets in history of boxing. Knocking out Roy Jones Jr.
I would say emphatically "no." And although it was a big upset, I think that their first fight sort of took some of the shock out of his win. Although obviously Roy was heavily favored and I doubt many were picking such an early KO.
I thought about this one just the other day, he beat Jones twice and beat a couple other pretty good fighters as well, I think if he beats another good to great fighter, I feel theres a spot in the hall for the "Legend killer".
He's not even close to being a HOF. He got his lottery ticket with Jones Jr. and that's it ! Boxers need to accomplish much more than that to be considered.....:blood
