i'm giving him a very small chance to decision williams.

BUT, i gaurantee williams will be looking hungry in this fight. cotto stopped quintana in the 4th right? so paul will be looking to do it earlier...thats how the game is played.

Small chance, Williams is all wrong for Quintana. I think Quintana can probably win a few early rounds, but will gradually get wore down....

i do because i just watched cotto-quintana again recently and i notice quintana won the first round and was trading with cotto for 3 or 4 rounds (big mistake), in one round he landed a huge straight left to cottos body which stunned him and moved him back, it was only in the 5th(or 6th) round where cotto started going back to the body and he destroyed quintana.

Hell yea he can win. ITs not gonna e easy but Quintana has pop and good technique. He fought the wrong fight against COtto so he lost that one.
Im sure he has learned to fight his opponents the right way now. It would benefit Quintana to trade with PW since he doesnt have near as much power as Cotto. Boxing him would be the wrong plan i believe.

    Definately.
Quintana has the skills, power and smarts to be successful.
Williams is much taller, nevertheless, he likes to come in and trade.
And he has a chin just like all fighters do.

Answer: Yes --- Quintana has a chance.

Williams is HIGHLY overrated, all of this 'potential HOF'er' talk is just absurd and it all comes from beating Margarito in a close fight, who in turn is nothing to mention.

    I think this is a 50/50 fight.

If Quintana wins, all of the people who proclaimed that Williams was going to be something special are going to act like they never did.

I don't think it's a good matchup for him, but Williams is so overrated that a loss to a slick fighter wouldn't surprise me at all. It's like Margo's over the top hype job has not been transfered to Williams.

the only fight that i've seen williams in that i thought he impressed was when he fought Margarito ... all of his other fights left me laughing at his backers but he showed a little something in the margarito fight but then again it could be due to styles as Margarito just walks straight in with no head movement which allowed Williams to potshot and move easily

Yes. The Q can fight and has elegant skills. Williams is super busy but he's not the killer that Cotto is. The Q is live.:smoke:smoke

I give him a 25 percent chance, maybe a little less.

Quintana impresses me; he's actually a very good fighter despite his positioning where he leans straight forward. He's got good defense and underrated slickness and a solid jab. Not a bad puncher either, but nothing devestating. I have a feeling that his strengths will be neutralized by Williams' height, reach, and punch output. I expect him to be beaten to the punch and outworked over 12.
